Why does my description area on new sale posting page have no tools for editing

I have just started listing my items again with ebid and find that the area on listing descriptions for a new sale has no editing bar shown.
A dropdown menu says I can choose between advanced (which I always used to use) and simple editing but the page doesn't show any editing tools bar ie I cant choose size or type of characters etc.
I have chosen advanced editing on my preferences, which doesn't seem to make any difference.
Can anyone help please I am stuck, also I have no typing curser in this area and it doesn't allow me to paste into the area.

Try checking in 'My defaults' on your eBid page and make sure the box for 'WYSIWYG advanced' is ticked and saved.

Have done and doubled checked since you reply still no editing tools. thanks anyway

If on the listing form, just above the description area it is showing wysiwyg advanced editor -



and if, in your defaults, you have the same advanced editor selected -



then you should have the full editing options available to you on your listing form descriptions area -



if you still haven't then I think you should contact Support and ask what the problem is....

Thanks for that, just checked my settings again and they both say Advanced.
I have no toolbars as you have shown just a blank area for the description.
Have contacted support.

Do you have an ad blocker or pop up blocker?Sometimes they can have that effect.

Just had another thought,is javascript enabled?
