Unfortunately, the .com domain is already owned by someone else and apparently they are asking too much for it.

Anyone who just types in Ebid will be taken to the site so what is the point. Same as if you just type in eBay Who types in .com .net or .org or any other , nowadays. The person with the Ebid.com lost his chance to sell it at a reasonable price just not worth it anymore.

Then there were these blackmail threats on the .com site in 2013.

Who would deal with such people - as they didn't want to sell the domain but just wanted to leech off this site's owners?

That's ok, ArchaicAudio cares so much about it, he can get out his archaic wallet and buy the .com domain as a late Xmas pressie for Gazza and Mark.

Curious how new users arrive here and think they have a unique hotline to good ideas that have never been aired before.

Or is it just their idea of a good troll?

On Ebid I have a genuine feedback total of over 8000 over 7 years.

On Ebay I have a genuine feedback total of 2000 over 12 years.

It is Ebay that lacks worth in my selling experience.
EBid Add feedback for every purchase by a buyer, Ebay only add one feedback to your score If a buyer buys 10 stamps you only get one added to your score.

The issue for me is more that it is too expensive to sell on Ebay, I can't afford to list many items on Ebay, though what you say about feedback issues on Ebay may be true.
