Default Ebid Dot net is worthless. Change name to dot com

Pay for the ebid dot com name or change to another dot com name.

There have been umpteen discussions about this over the years on the forums if you search. Here's just one thread. https://www.ebid.net/forums/showthre...about-ebid-com
The .com site is owned by someone that wants a ridiculous amount of money and I would rather have eBid.net with low fees than have to pay out more to own something like that any day.
I don't think it matters anyway as all I Google is eBid, without anything else, and the site comes up at the top of the page.

eBid are not going to rebrand when they have been eBid.net since the last century ! (1998)
I wouldn't want them to either having spent years promoting that name since 2005.

Interesting ... I've just looked at your listings and see that you sell domain names ... you don't happen to be the owner of eBid.com do you ?!!!

Just out of curiosity, wouldn't a domain name fall under banned items? See part in ALL CAPS.

    Software

Software that has been copied or duplicated in any format is prohibited. Additionally, academic, OEM, back-up, License Key only, fulfilment, promotional, beta (pre-release), unauthorized freeware/shareware, "softlifted" software versions and DIGITALLY DELIVERED SOFTWARE (DELIVERED VIA EMAIL OR OTHER ELECTRONIC MEANS) ARE PROHIBITED.

It crossed my mind too. I tried to check but got nowhere.
I do wonder why it is always people from the USA who think that being dot com is essential. It is not essential. eBid is not the only auction site with a dot net domain name. Delcampe also is dot net. I know they have been having problems recently but it is nothing to do with being dot net.

To me, the idea that it would be advantageous to change to dot com never made any sense. Anyone looking for ebid would just use a search engine. That's how I found ebid.net all those years ago.

Could you explain worthless to me?

On Ebid I have a genuine feedback total of over 8000 over 7 years.

On Ebay I have a genuine feedback total of 2000 over 12 years.

It is Ebay that lacks worth in my selling experience.
