Thread: Alphabetical Sort of Listings by Clicking on Title

  1. #1

Question Alphabetical Sort of Listings by Clicking on Title

Is there any chance that we could get a sort function by clicking on the column header such as title. It is a real pain if listings are not in order to know if you already listed a similar one or not.

Would love to click on the column header to sort ... especially "reposts", in the meantime ...

You can choose to sort your listings by listing title ... click on the down arrow in the box next to Filter by: under the blue export button.

You could use the export function
Listings I am running | Unsold then the export button

In Excel or PCCalc you can sort by whatever column you want.

On the "Listings I Am Running" page there is a pulldown menu which allows you to opt for order by listing title either ascending or descending. I think this is what you want. It works for me when I am listing new items.

Thanks very much but that would be a lot of extra work and more chances of errors.

Sure, it is the solution of choice if you are listing in the thousands, want to be completely error free, and keep a historical record of your listings over the years.

I have a conditional format built into my excel record so that if I try to enter a new listing that is the same as one I listed up to 7 years ago, I get a red highlight. Not for the fainthearted!

It sounds like you have a wonderful system set up the way you want for your use.

I'm so glad you posted that!!! I decided to try it out and discovered that I had 12 listings with duplicates. Not really sure how it happened because I list 10 days/10 times and one of each duplicate was set to expire in 1 day + xx hours and the other duplicate was set to expire in 6 days + xx hours on all 12 items.

I was doing some research for future listing in a particular category and decided to search the category with "Title - Low to High" and found numerous duplicate listings of individual items, so I'm not the only one this seems to happen to.

Now to figure out "why" to avoid it happening again.....
