The only other way would be to preserve a copy of every listing as it currently exists against every sale made - just in case a seller might want to alter it between sales.

For the odd times the situation arises I see little difference for the seller between editing a listing and reposting it; just a couple of extra clicks.
[sigh] I hate having to point at ebay. But here's how you do it. Properly. Check item 291893514089 over there. I bought one of these a while ago for 1.18. The seller has sold over 100 of them, but has since increased the price (and perhaps changed other things too, but I can't be bothered to check).

Here's what displays at the top of the listing when I visit it:

The listing below has been updated by the seller, but you can see the item you purchased.

The part I've marked in italics is a link that leads to a copy of the listing, as at the time I purchased.

You're right, of course. There needs to be an independent record of the original contract on the site. And that's how you do it. Please stop trying to make out that Manor44 is making an unreasonable suggestion.

Whether it's a bug, as Bill suggests, or a feature request, is a moot point. But it can be done.

Is it possible to edit a single item's Price or Photograph.

If the item has a bid on it then the answer is no.
