    Default Daily Mail re: Medals

Small article in the Daily Mail today (page 30) about buyer being reunited with his father's WW1 medals after seeing them on eBay - the seller bought them from local antiques fair. I was trying to find a thread on this forum from a seller who had bought medals at auction and was contacted by someone claiming them as theirs/family. Could this be the same story with the Mail quoting ebay instead of eBid?
It would have been a nice advertisement for eBid, if that was the case.

Ahh, thanks Sucadot - I was looking for the thread before posting, but couldn't find it.
Shame it's not the same medal, it might have put eBid in a national newspaper with a good news story instead of it always being TOS.
Oh well, it was just a thought!
Many thanks and all the best,
    Marie.

    - perhaps we should have an acronym translator on here - I try to avoid them in case I say the wrong thing!

I hear ya, acronyms confuse me, too, but then I've always been a little confused.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I think that even if this type of story was put to a national newspaper, and it featured Ebid in the story , then i doubt if such a story would see the light of day, this would be due to the general population being largely unfamiliar with any other site that exists and the story wouldn't get anywhere a it would be hard for the public to directly relate to this....also, i believe that the media are happy to mention the other site as an inducement to attract a degree of advertising revenue that they hope may come their way due to offering favourable articles that relate to their business.
