If you look through some of the other threads on how to promote ebid / your ebid stores there are some sellers who will add your stores to their small web sites

Make sure they are search-engine friendly. Put as much information as possible in the title, then even more in the description.

Unless you're reselling and can't afford it, make sure your prices are lower than on other sites, and definitely not more. We dropped everything by 10 percent when we moved here from you-know-where.

Don't pad the shipping charge (buyers do notice).

Fill in your "All About the Seller" with as much information as you can. Keep it positive (no negative references to other sites), but a general description that makes them feel confident about buying from you. Plus details on your return policies, shipping, combined shipping, anything you can think of that a buyer might want to know.
Great advise, Tia! Glad I peeked into this thread.

    Question Re: Social networks icons?

    Hi,

I have not used this website for a while and must be missing something...
    I would appreciate your help.
After listing an item the website states: "click the buttons below and post details of your item to the social networks you use."
However, I am not finding any buttons, not below, not any place, that refer to social networks...
I am using the BIN form with a MAO. Does this have anything thing to do with my not seeing those buttons?
    Thanks for your help
    Betty

No - it shouldn't make any difference, as far as I know. I think what you need to look for are little icons with FB (or Facebook), a P (for pinterest) etc......not sure where they are, but I'm sure they are still there somewhere.....
    Ta-Ta for now!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply...

Looking for the little icons? That's what I thought also. So, I click on them. But they're sending me to my
FP page or twitter page to advertise eBid, not to avertise my items on eBid! What to do? Does anyone knows how to link your items to your social networks? Thanks.

You are right -- those icons are for you to use to advertise your items on those social networks. That is, I believe, how you link them. The only other way I can imagine is to put a link right on your social network that leads back to ebid, but I think FB quit doing that. I don't twitterpate, so have no clue there!!

If no one else comes along to answer this.....start up a new thread. Often people don't look back on threads that were originally started a couple years ago. good luck! You have lovely items!!

Seller plus doesnt make a difference on sales currently i am at the point i believe honestly ebid is not marketing there website to help increase our sales and what we payed for the seller plus is just to suffice fees.

    I am new here.
I am still on the other site.
    Could be an exodus, potentially.
I say potentially because the sellers are really fed up with the 100 x cent buyers orientation policy,so,like me,are seeking an alternative. The problem is that buyers at the greedy one are having the time of their life,
Is like a civil war, lol.Trying to find a site which use the good old fashion common sense.
A problem I detected, looking at the antiques section, are the starting prices.
I personally would not bid, if I am looking for a bargain. For example:Start at £87 ,buy now at £92? Lol.Nobody will bid .
Need discussions between members if you want more people to form traffic.
Never before like now the greedy have been of the verge of an exodus.Help starting at really bargain prices,to attract the buyers.
    The first impression.....
