Thread: When is a "Special Price" not a special price

  1. #1

Default When is a "Special Price" not a special price

today I checked out prices for X Rebirth (released on Friday)....

Electronic download no paper manual no disks "special pre-order price" from "Steam" £39.99

Case, Disks, Manual, Post from "The River" £29.99. (will still need a "Steam" account but that's no problem as I have quite a few "Steam" games)

Guess where I brought it from

not listed here as it is not released yet

In a sofa store a 'special' or 'sale' price is usually neither, simply the price the item has always been apart from the two weeks it was sold at a higher price in one or two stores.

very true.... but one would have thought in this case an electronic download would be cheaper..... and more often than not Steam is cheaper especially when it comes to "older" games, and some of their deals are great value
