It is biased toward the sellers who can block me, but I can't block them... unfair!

I use a bio-mechanical system to avoid buying from someone I do not wish to do so. While it doesn't eliminate the display of their items in search results, it does help me avoid accidentally entering into a business transaction with someone I do not wish to do so. The system consists of a notebook and pen kept near my computer where I record the ID of seller's I do not wish to buy from.

    I see the issue here.
Specifically, sellers ebidstore is not included in the search parameters.
So, whatever you search for in Stamps, I will turn up, because I have 7% of the half million listings in this category.
put "-billsstamps" in your search parameter, and it makes no difference.
Obviously with 100% positive feedback you probably don't want to do this. Unless you know I have no new listings since you last did an exhaustive search.

But maybe you wouldn't want to see my listings if my feedback score was 95%?
So is this the search parameter, exclude all searches where the feedback is less than 95% or whatever? Might be doable for Ebid's techies?

Lots of useful and helpful work-arounds being mooted - and I thank you all for those...

I buy stamps, for example, and if I consistently see a seller selling at half catalogue price then I want to avoid that seller at all times. I can go to stamp fairs to pay that price where I can view the stamp and decide if I buy or not. I seller can ask what they like, but the buyer has the choice too.

I want buy from the seller(s) that are offering a better price than that, and these sellers go on my favourites list of course (you are the greatest!) This is why I go on-line; looking for bargains and discounted prices...

I just don't know why ebid cannot create the same facility for buyers that sellers enjoy; it is available on the other sites after all!

To me, it just doesn't create buyer well-being in the least.

Seller's moniker or seller's ebidstore, both could be useful. I didn't know ebay could do that, thanks to the person who pointed it out. It can be a comma separated list of sellers to include or exclude, as a qualification to all the other search options, quite powerful.

I'm sure ebid's techies can do anything ebay's can!

Instead of asking eBid to cater to your desire to NOT see items listed by sellers that you think have prices that are too high, why don't you use the features already present??

Enter your search terms for the item you are looking for and when the list comes up use "Sort: Price Low - High". After the featured listings (which sellers pay extra to show up first), you'll see the lowest priced item you are looking for. When the asking price gets to high for your budget, stop scrolling. You might be surprised to see an item at a price you want to pay that you would have missed if you had blocked the seller, as some sellers do lower their prices if the item has not sold within a certain amount of time.

In general I agree, sorting by price low to high (or price with postage, low to high) is very useful.

However, if you've identified a seller who consistently offers unrealistic prices, it may be useful to exclude them. Different stamps vary hugely in their prices, so a low-high sort doesn't help so much.

Yes, there are always those sellers who think their items are worth far more than anybody else thinks they are worth - lol! Since the post has been going since 2013 and the ability to Block a Seller has not happened, it's probably not very likely that it will Also, since we don't have the ability to use "-store name" in the search parameters and the OP states he is " looking for bargains and discounted prices..." sorting Price Low to High is probably going to be his best bet.

It would be nice if we could include "-StoreName" in the search parameters but I would not want to completely block a particular seller for any reason I can think of. Maybe starting a new thread to suggest the ability to -seller/store names in search would get a better response from the staff??
