Thread: Block Sellers

    Default Re: Block Sellers

I do think that the search filters and subcategories could possibly be refined a little more to help with this, at least if your search is more specific you can filter out what you don't want to see a bit more easily.

I have not seen the ability to hide sellers on any site, although on Ebay's user forums you can hide all content from another member so I suppose it is possible to do it ...but would it be in Ebid's interest to do so?

    - a Buyer should have the option to Block a Seller

    - same as a Seller can Block a buyer -

    It's called Buyer Choice
While I have no problem with a buyer being able to block sellers that they do not wish to do business with, when searching for a particular item it would seem to me that I would want the search engine to display all of the results of the search for that item. In order to exclude specific sellers I would think that setting up a specific search with those sellers being specifically excluded would be the best option. After all, one is really not blocking the seller from selling to you if you choose to purchase, but rather, excluding their listings from being included in the deliberations.

Of course, it would probably be a good idea to add those sellers to one's Blackball List as well.

You cannot block sellers OP so I would suggest you delete this thread and start a new one with a request for a 'block sellers' option.

This may stop others plugging their wares on your original question.

I would like to block sellers from China, Hong Kong, etc etc,

They just clutter up the results I'm looking for.
(I must add this happens on ebay mostly )

Your reply made me smile Pink but come to think of it there are fewer, if any, listings from the Far East countries on eBid.

Yes, I know it's an old thread ... but still think the option to exclude sellers from a search would be a useful option.

    Exclamation Re: Block Sellers

Agree, agree, agree with the OP.

There's one particular seller that is spamming my searches in the musical instrument category, with dozens of the same old crap making it harder to find people selling genuine items I'm interested in. Ain't nobody got time for that!!

I want the function to completely block a seller "Facebook" style.
