After a very quiet Jan, my sales started to increase in Feb, and it looks like this will be a really good month.

Most were from new buyers*, and were from the UK and US.

One new buyer bought about £80 worth of tools, and I was a bit worried that the sale would be blocked for further documentation.
But it wasn't , so I don't know what the logic is behind the eBid policy.

    * For all those who forgot that they once had zero feedback, and want to block new buyers who are now in the same position,
most of my sales in the last six months have been to people with zero feedback.

Good to see people getting sales.

Talking of feedback, I'm grappling with the idea of importing my ebay feedback, but on the other hand I'm thinking maybe it's best to only have ebid feedback on ebid. The trouble is right now I'm a low feedback (ebid) seller and I'm wondering if it's affecting sales?

" The trouble is right now I'm a low feedback (ebid) seller and I'm wondering if it's affecting sales?", - PaulWK1972.

Your problem, if it is one, is not that you are a low feedback seller, but that your feedback id split over two sites.

And it is your feedback - you earned it and you own it.
Don't be coy about transferring this asset that you own to the site where it will help you most.

For those who say it's kinda slow here, or nothing sells on eBid, or nobody has heard of eBid, I say the following:

I've just had my best month ever, in terms of number of sales (27) and value.
All were from new buyers, who despite the folklore, have managed to find eBid.
Buyer were from the US and all over the UK.

I estimate that I have saved over £10.00 in fees and postal surcharge, compared to eBay. On the Dark Side, I would have had to sell, pack & deliver another two items to cover that. And been at risk from two more buyers.

To top it all, I have been unable, for family circumstances, to list anything, promote or otherwise advertise my listings for about two months.

I am now hurrying to replace sold stock - a problem I love having.

This is not a boast, just a counter to the Jeremiahs who constantly whinge, moan, complain and run down what is probably the best site on the Web.

There, - I've got it off my chest!

I didn't count your hand knitted squirrel hat Madelaine, as you took the time to knit it. :-)

It reminds other people that there are sales to be had and your example is especially important as you cannot be dismissed as "been here forever"
