    You're reminding of the segments I've seen on TV (Dr OZ) that a person with smelly feet should soak them in vodka!?! My goodness. What a waste of good vodka. Not that I drink a lot, but drinking in moderation is medicinal as well.

    Why would they recommend vodka when rubbing alcohol is cheap?

    LOL Trish! I use rubbing alcohol and Q tips/toothbrush to clean mine, though it pays to be careful when dealing with rhinestones as liquid can affect the "stones" adversely.

    You can also sterilize jewellery with steam! a baby bottle steamer dose it nicely! im a tattooist & make jewellery as a hobbie! so things have to be clean & sterile!!!!

    This is what I have done many times too - much better. Can't obviously do anything when they are fixed posts but on fish hook types yes.

    I have bought and sold used earrings. They buying included clip ons. And there are still people out there who don't have pierced ears
