    Yoo-hoo! I'm baa-ack!

Palma Nova is a beautiful place, we had a superb view of the bay from our hotel balcony. We only had to cross the road in front of the hotel and we were on the beach.

The weather was kind to us, some days really hot but thankfully a cooling breeze. We both have a nice tan, although neither of us did much sunbathing, we enjoyed walks out especially along the beach (and falling into beach bars!).
We made quite a few friends at the hotel, and had some fun times. It was great not having to cook and just choosing what we wanted from the restaurant, and the free all inclusive drinks flowed from 11am. 'till 11pm.
Dominic said he missed us terribly, and have us a whacking great big hug when we got back - it's good to be back home and back to reality.

Oh Shes - what a dreadful ordeal for you. Sending you all my love and praying that you get better soon. If your O/H snores like mine, I would deffo opt for the guest room, you need to rest well, both before and after your surgery. Big hug for you

Wyo, that film sure is right up my street - a must see! Lol!!
Reina is fine now, back to her usual self - she still runs like the wind, so I don't think she has learned a lesson from her awful experience.

Old, some mighty fine choons there, JR and I headbanged to Quo one night at the hotel disco! I loved your rendition of Sleepwalk - well done you!
Aww - sad you won't be getting one of the geetars you wanted, hope the arrival of the other one cheers you up!
I do hope that you moonshine mate goes on OK in rehab, and gets out pretty soon.
Oh - Thanks for the drinks btw!

Here's a jug of Sangria for you to enjoy!

Right off to tick nick in the YDC, 'see' you guys later!

    Yea! Trish's back - G'day all

Wow that beach spot looks to me, & the bar hours are OK I guess Glad to hear you both had a great time & got tans!
Also glad that puppy is back to normal - but I do hope she remembers not to do that again!
Glad you liked my old version of Sleepwalk - may put a few other things up from time to time.
That Sangria must be good for you - because its got fruit init.

The "new" geetar is almost here as it cleared Brizvegas on the 23rd, so I may get it today (hopefully) if not, it WILL be here next week for sure!
My old moonshine mate is coming along at rehab, & could get home in a couple of weeks, depending on his recovery rate. He has to get himself mobile on his pins properly first!

Weather has warmed up a tad for the weekend & was about 13c this morn, with 25C- ish during the day - No sign of rain here ATM.

Nothing else to report - so it's drinks & choons time! Enjoy!

    Well hello again!
Looks like it's just you and me propping up the bar and feeding the jukiebox Old!
Glad your old mate will be released from rehab in a couple of weeks, send him over here - I will look after him well .....
    or maybe not!

Listened to the choons - never did like Cliff, he was too 'tame' for me - I preferred the more outrageous stuff coming from the Stones, T-Rex, Animals, Kinks, Alex Harvey, and of course all the rock bands that followed. I have to admit to liking Billy Fury though - and I also had a massive crush on Bryan Ferry. Eric Burden was another one of my heart-throbs - Mick Jagger made me throb with lust! I really never liked 'pretty' men - Alice Cooper and Ozzie were just fine by me!
(I started this message hours ago but have only just been able to finish it as my phone has been red hot all night -- so as I'm sooo tired now, I will 'see' yous all in the morrow.

Just hope JR doesn't snore too loudly - a night of fear! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ghFMlYyh3A

    Hey all!

Old - thanks so much for posting Sleepwalk - I could listen to that all day - well, maybe not the same one over and over, but it was very soothing/relaxing!! Yes, surgery - I did have to call my insurance co to "get on it" and the Ortho clinic said they sent a referral but the Dr's office said they never got one and were kind enough to set me an appointment right then. 1 June I go see the surgeon for a consult and for sure, he should remove the bone spur on C-5, as that is what is tangling my nerves and giving me so much pain. While they are "in there" they may as well fix the issues between C 4-6, but I don't know what he will say.

Ummmm.....those tropical drinks look really good! The fruity rum laced drinks tend to get me in trouble, though!! LOL!!! It has been feeling pretty "tropical" here - 90 degrees and rain predicted about the past 10 days and for about 10 days in the future. I'm happiest when it actually does rain - much better than all the humidity just hanging around.

Wyo - glad you had a good time out. Was Book Club good? I know Old Chicago pizza is, for sure!! YUM! Hopefully, there will be no hail and the farmers got locked into a good price last fall. Do they still do that?? Tillie is gorgeous! Look's like Jake's dad. I was hoping Jake would keep his silver hair and spots, but he turned blue. Somehow, he acquired a hemotoma on his ear flap and wouldn't let me drain it (can't take him to the vet) so he will have a floppy ear forever, but it makes him look a bit silly and playful.

Trish - Palma Nova is beautiful. I'm glad you had a good time and "cooling breezes"!! Happy to hear Reina is fine and back to her old self, with no permanent damage. That was a dreadful cut!! Well, HE might go to the guest room - there's a sleigh style daybed in there and if he thrashes around on it, he will know what it feels like for me being bumped and knocked around all night - LOL!! I'll just be sending a donation for YDC again - it really stinks that PP is taking so much up in fees - need to find a way around that!!

I saw KC & the Sunshine Band not long ago - didn't even recognize them, but then it's been almost 40 years ago - lol!! My friend Wanda is back to work after knee surgery and we've decided that by the end of summer this is what we'll be doing:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSWw...WwqqoYCD4&t=15

I've got to get out of this chair - my rear has gone numb! LOL!!!

    Y'all take care!
    Shes

G'day all - Yes we'll keep the choons 'n drinks flowing gals.

Looks like "life gets in the way of having a good time" for everybody else ATM

Oh yes Shesa, now I remember re the spur op - hope that fixes the problem for you & remember, "the squeaky hinge, gets the oil" (as far as insurance & clinic appointments etc. go!)

Still waiting on the geetar - but should arrive this week. I find it totally amazing, that a shipment can get from Dubai to Brisbane faster than it can from Brisbane to me, which is only 1.5 hours away?
Shows you how slack our postage "service" is.

Drinkies for all - & some ugly tough guys for Trish!

    G'day all

As promised (read threatened) here's another one of yours truly playing around with his Dobro!
This is a choon called "Winter Winds" which was written by Shorty Ranger in 1958, & was Slim Dusty's 2nd big hit & follow up number to "A Pub With No Beer" (1957)
The main guitar riff was the invention of the late great Oz geetar legend Barry Thornton.
Hope you enjoy my meagre cover version.

Evening all, been a bit busy with stuff at home just lately along with the YDC. Well done Trish with the money raised for the care home. Also been trying to list some more of my singles, I have decided it's time I tried to offload them. Doing it this way they will not go too quickly though it will show my wife I am making an effort !

Been listening to a few tunes whilst listening, here are a few that popped up.

    G'day all

    Howsitgoin'

Bit coolish lately & down to about 7C in the mornings & I could only just see the neighbours house over the road this morning, due to the fog. But the days are perfect ATM.
This head cold is almost gone & I can't tell you how many boxes of tissue I've gone through, but my nose is sore & just about worn out! (not enough Bundy medicine I guess)

Some good tunes there booksie! & some I'd never heard B4.

My old moonshine mate had a home day visit from rehab the other day, to see what special household aids needs will be required.
Once those are installed, he will be allowed home BUT they've said his driving days are over AND so is the moonshine!
Given his age, they don't think the nerve damage will repair itself well enough for him to drive, & certainly not drink the good stuff any more! (it's cups of tea for him from now on)

For those of us who can still have a tipple, here's one, plus a few choons!

    Greetings and multitudinous felicitations, cocktailers!

We have had a lovely weekend - we treated Dom and the kiddies to a weekend in Great Yarmouth. Dom has been feeling at a low ebb for a while, so I thought that a weekend away would cheer him up a bit.

The hotel was super, so were the staff - very friendly.
    .
Saturday, the weather wasn't very good, with a few showers, but we still managed to get out and about, but Sunday - what a change!
Once the early fog/mist had lifted it was glorious!
We took the little ones to Joyland, where they had a few rides which turned out to be quite funny really, as Ava was screaming her head off on the world famous Snail ride!
We ate in the American Diner and Dom and JR were over the moon as there was an NSRA fun run, and the two of them spent ages admiring all the hot rods, street rods and American cars. Even loads of motorbike enthusiasts turned up and were showing off their immaculate machines. It was awesome!

The little ones played happily on the beach, digging holes and making sand pies for nannar! Good job I had suncream in my bag, the sun was really hot for a while.
All in all, a most enjoyable time was had by everyone.

Shes, hope your appointment with the surgeon went well, and you have arranged to get 'fixed up' real soon. It's horrible to think that a fit and active lady like yourself should be incapacitated with so much pain. Sending you healing prayers and a big hug (((((xxx))))).
Hope hubby is 'riding' well in his sleigh bed LOL!!!
(Thanks so much BTW for your very kind and generous donation for Bradwell, it really is appreciated x)

Phew - glad your geetar arrived safely Old, betcha it won't be very long before you are chewing your nails off again waiting for another new arrival!
I enjoyed listening to your rendition of Winter Winds - clever you!
Aww, feeling sorry for your moonshine mate - cups of tea from now on ...... arghh!

Thanks for the drinkies and choons, I enjoyed watching the vid of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Cold Shot. Very funny!

Books, thanks for all the help with the YDC, and also your congrats on the money raised. I reckon we worked together pretty well!
Good luck with selling off your singles - that must be a painful business, not knowing which records that you can bear to part with!
Thanks also for your list of choons, like Old, some I knew and loved and some I never heard before.

Oooh Penni, how exciting for you and your daughter. Fingers crossed that labour won't be too long for her. Play some of the great choons you have selected for us here in the music lounge, and I'm sure the pair of you will be rockin' away before long! We all send our best wishes for a speedy and safe delivery.
Please send us a pic of the new baby when you have the chance, so we can wet the baby's head!
    Have a safe journey xxx
