Hello cocktailers!

Well, another weekend over - thank goodness.
Home cooked fish and chips Friday, curry Saturday.......
It surely should be a relaxing time, but somehow I find myself forever stuck in the kitchen, preparing meals and cooking.
It would be a mortal sin if a full English breakfast wasn't served up Sunday morning, and a roast dinner with all the trimmings wasn't presented later -
I am NOT doing all the washing up, I'm rebelling so there! (I haven't got a dish washer - no room!)

Great to hear from you Shes, but sorry to hear of all the suffering you have endured. Girl, concentrate on yourself a little bit more, and do please practice what you preach

Good to hear that hubby is looking after you - and YES - agree - no man cleans like a woman.It's good to hear that you have friends to help you out, especially now that hubby has man-flu.... (oh, and booger the dust bunnies, let 'em congregate for a while!)
Since JR had the bowel cancer surgery last July, it has been left to me to keep the gardens tidy and weed-free, JR is still milking his maladies.

Old, wow! You sure are going to town with purchasing some very wonderful 'collectables'!
I always said that one day you would hold an exhibition of your treasures - may I suggest an admission price of a litre bottle of Bundy, plus a six pack of Fosters! BARGAIN!
BTW, If you need help advertising the event or collecting the admissions just give me a shout. My fee would be a weeks bed and breakfast in your bar.
(I would bring my own bunk).

LATEST NEWS ....... I received a phone call just a little while ago - from Lucia.
Reina, my black German Shepherd girl who lives at Lucia's farm now, has badly injured herself.
We don't know yet what happened - but Lu said that Reina is torn open from her shoulder to her hind legs and is bleeding profusely.
(Probably chasing a rabbit and got ripped open on barbed wire or machinery somewhere on their farm).
Lucia's partner drove from Cambridge to Bury St. Edmunds to the Emergency vets surgery - hopefully an operation will commence ASAP.
Now awaiting news ......

Sorry to hear about the doggie, & hope it's only skin deep & easily stitched up. She'll be sore & sorry for herself for awhile. It only takes a bit of wire or sharp piece of metal somewhere on the farm.

In my book - a collection means, things that are displayed, labeled & set out properly (mine aren't - Yet!) But I'm working on it. Then you can bring your bunk. I like the entry fee idea!

Just back from Edinburgh. Ami, my youngest daughter, is now 7 1/2 months pregnant and suffering. She has been sick all through her pregnancy and has even lost weight. Now they say baby is breech and if she doesnt move in next 2 weeks she will be booked in for a cesarean, which she does NOT want. Im going down for three weeks after the baby is born, just to help out. Today is do YDC parcels and take OH to dentist. Then more listing.

Aww Penni, how awful for your daughter to be so sick all through her pregnancy and now a C section could be on the books for her.
Teagan, my daughter, really didn't want to have a cesarean either, she desperately wanted to have a natural birth with both her pregnancies, but sadly it was not to be, and she ended up having to have two cesareans. All is worth it though, when they get that beautiful little baby in their arms.
What a lucky girl she is to have her mum with her helping out for three weeks after the birth - you will be much appreciated for sure.

Another two geetars Old? Crikey - when you have your collection displayed, labelled and set out properly, I think that you will have to up the admission to two bottles of bundy!

Well, I thought that I would update you on poor Reina's condition.
OMG - I have never seen such a horrific injury.
She is doing OK though, Lucia is caring for her 24 hours a day.

Ooh! poor pooch! - looks like she ran under something sharp at top speed to do that damage! Barbed wire fence would do that for sure!
Glad to hear she's on the mend there Trish.
There's quite a few stitches & a couple of drains as well - big job for the vet. (not to mention the cost/s)
Will have to be very careful about infections for awhile.

I like your idea on the entrance fees! I haven't done anything about the other 2 yet. One of the others has cleared Brisbane, so It should arrive this week, & the 2nd. one has just departed Dubai.
My nails are nearly down to the elbows!

Well we have about 9C this morning with heavy overcast & drizzle, but will get to 25C today, & 28C later in the week & weekend!

Oh wow Trish, that's some wound that your poor dogs got. Hope that everything heals up ok, looks like the vet did a pretty god job.

Reina is doing OK - she has had painkilling injections but the drain tubes are still in place as they are still leaking fluids from the wound.
She is eating well and has perked up considerably.
The vet is amazing - he phones daily to check on her progress.

The little ones will be here tomorrow afternoon, 'till Sunday evening, so I'm gathering strength before the onslaught. We had them overnight Tuesday, and just after 6.30am Wednesday morning I had a 4 year old bouncing on my bed, wearing tights with shorts over the top, a gold tiara and a sheet tied around her neck. I shouted ISLA! Get off my bed! She put her hands on her hips, stared at me and said "I'm NOT Isla, I'm Wonderwoman"! Doh! I just had to laugh

I'm STILL in love with Linda & I'd almost forgotten that Spooky number, very noyice! There are lots of great female singers Trish & heaps from the UK as well. (I'll try to add a few more)
My most favourite is Alison Krauss (from the US) She can do no wrong IMHO

So glad to hear puppy is on the mend & I guess the drains are there for a reason - when they stop weeping, I'm sure the vet will take 'em out? Be good when her hair grows back eh?
Had a thought - if it was caused by barbed wire? & it's not too big of a task - replacing the bottom strand with plain wire may be worth considering? Then again, she may have learnt her lesson with fences???

Our little Wonderwoman down here (now 1.5 years & 13Kg.) is just as funny as your Isla - they give you lots of love, fun & worry! Here's Brody now. Her latest flavour is banana dipped in tomato sauce! - Barf!
This was taken on her way home from Day Care - & covered with dirt & paints!



BTW - 2 of the "new" geetars have arrived & all AOK - the next one is due very shortly & hopefully will be damage free also! (I was running out of finger nails!)

Good morning/evening all!



It's a beautiful day, sunny and warm. I'm going to set about the front garden sometime today. It looked so lovely full of spring flowers, but now that they are mostly all done flowering, it looks a disgrace and ole glassback won't do any gardening/weeding - it's against his religion doncha know!
(Mind you, he was working 'till 12.30 last night up at the RBL club, and left for work today at 8.15 am, so I'll let him off the hook for now!)

Aww Old - you know I'm besotted with kiddies - little Brody is just sooo adorable, such a cherub.... but do I see mischief in her eyes? lol! Hmm, banana with ketchup, sounds grim!
Happy to hear that 2 of the geetars have arrived safe and sound, fingers crossed (what's left of them!) that the next one will be undamaged.

Lucia's partner is still trying to work out how Reina tore herself open so badly.Their farm is surrounded with fields and mostly hedged off, he hasn't found barbed wire. The thinking is she chased something under farm machinery - she's like a bullet from a gun when she spots 'game'.
The numpty forgets that she is bigger than her quarry!

I was without a reliable internet connection for a lot of last week, apparantly caused by the massive water leak from a week or two ago, they guarantee to have the soggy bits dried out by midweek.
So I will return when I can!
