    Greetings

Books, great selection, highlight for me was Peter Green, hadn't seen a solo from him before.
Steeleye Span I have seen in concert, but made me feel sooooo old hearing them again.

Old, great selection and I was enjoying listening to them til up popped Ringo Starr, I dislike him so much, he is such an annoying person.
But I loved the Mavericks, I was dancing round my chair with them

Mael. briliant. BC can do no wrong in my eyes.

    Here's a cracker for you..

    Have a great day

G'day all. - I always liked Ringo & thought he was the jokester of the bunch. But you'd hear more about him that me.

Have just arrived back from an overnighter at Bro's place, celebrating his recent birthday! - Oh woe is me! Think I'll be having a quiet day/weekend!

So - a quick reviving drinkies & a calming choon!

    YOO-hoo! I'm baa-ack!

The weather in Clacton On Sea was horrible last week, so we didn't manage many outings. (Sitting in a caravan watching TV is absolutely NOT my scene .... I was bored stiff!)
There was a decent pub though that we frequented in the evenings, so that kinda made our holiday a little more bearable.
Daughter and grandson seemed to enjoy the break, he spent most of his time (and money ) in the amusement arcades. LOL!!! I did try so hard to get into the tractor for a ride, but failed!)

Everything was covered in mud- the grass/grounds around the caravans were waterlogged, I haven't got around to cleaning and washing all the shoes yet.

I've had a houseful all weekend, 2 daughters, their O/H's, son, 4 kiddies and two dogs. (Definitely just what I didn't need after just getting back from a holiday!).
After catering for them all all weekend, I sure was glad when the last lot waved goodbye - I flopped on the sofa with sheer exhaustion. At last I have managed to catch up with all the clothes washing that accumulated, at least the weather has been beautiful here and I've dried everything thanks to Mr. Sunshine!

I've been spending a lot of my time weeding in the garden, I've almost filled the garden waste recycling bin with Shepherds Purse, Clover, Rosebay Willow Herb, Dandelions etc. Old glass back will avoid weeding like the plague, he will do anything to avoid it. At least he has mowed the lawns.

Well, I had better push on - got so much to do, including tons of relisting. I haven't taken the holiday notice off my listings yet, I don't think I will bother until Sunday evening as I have the two little granddaughters here this evening 'till Sunday eve - better hide everything!

As it's a beautiful sunny day again, I'll make a jug of Pimms .....

    G'day all

Looks like ya had a good time there Trishy, despite the weather! You may have made it into that tractor & not been able to get out!
I can just see you there stuck & going round & round, up & down. hahahaha!
Those 2 little Tassie Devil grandies look very cute - but I hope they don't bite like those babies!

Speakin' of babies - meet my "new" one!
This is an example of the very first electric lap steel geetar that Epiphone ever made. It'll be on the way from Connecticut very shortly.
It's a 1936 Electar, all original including case (except for new felt on the back) & everything works as it should. Not bad for an 82 year old!
Now I just have to bite my nails till it arrives in one piece!
    Have a good weekend all.

    Greetings

    Welcome home Trish

Old, you are becoming a serious collector, be careful though it can be obsessive, I know, been there, done that.
Then I made a business out of selling what I had collected
Then I bought things for a different collection.... 4 sons

I now find that I have no running water, the water supply company know of the problem and are attending to it.
This thing is the cause of it, it's got a leak!

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norton_Water_Tower

Not a short term problem for me, but if I can't have tea or coffee later on then it will be a problem.
    Not to mention toilet flushing!

    Byeee!

It just got worse for some, ...

From the water utilities web site...
    Sun, 22nd Apr at 09:27AM

You may have noticed that the water is coming out of your tap slower than usual or may have gone off altogether, this is due to a significant burst water main on Tower Lane.
We are on site dealing with the burst and have 18 mobile tankers coming to the area to restore your water supply as quickly as we can. We are aware there may have been some flooding caused and we also have loss adjusters on their way.
We’re sorry for the trouble this may be causing you and we will get your taps flowing normally again as quickly as we can.

I am not surprised if there are floods, there's a lot of water in that tank that could leak out.!!

Edited to add, water back on 4.30pm!

You miss what you take for granted when it's gone!

    The culprit..

    The result

Oh dear! - glad you got water back Pos & tough break for those who had a flood! I guess it had to happen going by the age of that equipment!
At least the frogs & ducks will love it for awhile.
No problem here with water, as I have both town & rainwater tanks!

Yes - it's an illness for sure, & I've got it
I've always been a collector of something, & it started as a kid with plastic toys in cereal packets (remember toy soldiers?) then it was/is stamps, coins, rocks.
Now it's all of the above plus music, LP's, Al-K-hol bottles, vintage geetars AND BILLS.

My "new" baby leaves the US tomorrow!

Here's the modern version of this guitar (I'm expecting my original will have a much better sound) - enjoy the drink!
