Thread: Cocktails!!! and Music

    Hello!

Shes, crawling under your house looking for leaks? That would freak me out for sure ...... I get claustrophobic pulling on a jumper over my head! Not to mention the fear of what may be lurking underneath in the darkness ..... spiders, snakes, a troll or a bogeyman ..... eeek!
(Guess I've seen too many horror movies!)
I hope that your rooster makes a good recovery, and the weather warms up for you. I got really excited a couple of hours ago as it was snowing! YES! Didn't last long though, it turned to rain and there is no sign of snow anywhere .... booo!

Meebs, my daughter has a house rabbit and she sometimes flops down on her little rabbit bed, although for some reason she does seem to prefer the cushions on the sofa!

So good to see the ladies back, was a bit quiet for a while just Old & Myself trading tunes. Also good to hear everyone is generally on the mend.

Sorry ladies it's not warm enough for the kilt as yet ! More in need of these !

    G'day all

Anybody want to keep their brain active (if you've got the time) I found this cool site called jigsaw planet, where you can spend many hours completing online said puzzles! Worth a look on those cold, frosty, windy & rainy days over there!

Trisha - glad to hear JR & your Sis are both doing well - Yes, I learnt a long time ago that there is always someone worse off than moi.
I'm glad she is coning to terms with her situation, & that the family are of a great help.
I think you'll have to start wearing those surgical masks ('round ill grandies) like they do in Tokyo
Down here today, its only been a mere 31C, & don't worry, I make sure I keep Kool AND well hydrated!!!

Shesa - sadly, I no longer have access to recording equipment since I moved to the bush! May have to do some research on that?
In the meantime, just listen to Joe Wilsons version - mines exactly the same (well nearly)
Hope all the animals recover, & that you/they have a better spring. Won't be long now!
I've seen the molten roads many times in far north Qld, it's a regular thing in summer here! The large trucks do a lot of damage to it due to their weight.
The bitumen (asphalt) gets moved around slowly over time & ruts can develop if everybody tracks in the same place.

Here's a couple of cool cocktails & choons - Enjoy!

Thanks for the tip on the puzzle site, Old.....I did one, and it's fun. Could be addictive. And it's neater than the real thing, as you don't have cats sitting on all the pieces!

Stay cool while we try to keep warm!

I don't mean to be absent so much, but we have to teach Sadie to behave herself. We are making progress on the jumping on people and we've just had a long session on behaving in the office. I think she may be spoiled. I made her appointment for her hysterectomy - February 13. Never occurred to me that I would be picking her up on Valentine's Day. I put Miss Till down 2/14/07. Oh well.

Last summer I got frustrated with the fact the no one seems to know how to make an ironing board cover anymore so I decided to try my hand at it. I finally got it finished. Sadie will let me sew and crochet if I watch my P's and Q's.

We got about 3 inches of snow horizontally yesterday and cold and windy today, so Sadie couldn't be outside for as much as she wanted to be. She and the puppy next door play tug of war with stolen socks through the fence. The neighbors finally figured out what was happening when Sadie came home with the mom's slipper (yes, just 1). Now the girls come over and collect items, but typical of kids they miss a lot. It is beginning to get irritating.

Here is a picture of what my kids sent me for Christmas.

I am really glad to hear everyone is doing better.

I must admit, I don't know how to make a cover for my ironing board. It is easier and possibly cheaper for me to buy one.

I'm with you meebs, I always have to buy ironing board covers - seeing as mine somehow bite the dust after a very short time!
Her Most Gracious Majesty is quite right Wyo, that piece of fabric is just beautiful, and you made a super job covering the ironing board - well done!
Aww, your kids Christmas pressie to you is soooo cute! Is he a foot rest, hot water bottle holder or a cuddly little pal? Does he have a name? (I say 'he' instead of 'she' simply because he looks like he has mischief in his eyes - just like a boy!
Good luck with the training of Sadie - I'm pleased that you are making some progress. Having kept German Shepherds for most of my adult life I just know what it's like to have a boisterous pup! Patience is a virtue!

Old, I don't really get a lot of time to spend playing games but I did click on Jigsaw Planet and did a quickie! I enjoyed it!
Corr, sure wished it was 31C here - that's my kinda temps! I absolutely hate these dark, dismal, wet and windy days here. Summer cannot come soon enough for me!

Books - oooh! Nice long John's! A stunning piece of gear if I may say so! Beats ole JR's boxers any day! Roll on kilt weather!
    Here's a choon for you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2fizeoT22g
Thanks for all the drinks and choons guys - some crackers there.

Better scoot now, got lots of things to see to .....
adios amigos ..... (yes, you guessed, I'm dreaming of Spain and the warm sunshine - we are off to Majorca in May ... yipppeee! )

Meebo - Google Ironing board cover pattern - Lots of choices. I just drew around my ironing board and added 7 inches all the way around. I put it 2 buttonholes for the cord to come out and turned 1 Inch for a casing for the cord. I used about 2 yards of fabric and I bought a pad. I must not have printed out the instructions. You just need the length of your ironing board plus 14 inches or double how much you want to go under the board. I was so sick and tired of buying covers and having them be too short for my board, so I decided I could take care of that problem. My Mom used to use old sheets and just tack them to the under side of the board - her ironing board was wooden. I still have it, but of course, it is not adjustable and is for a shorter person than I.

Sadie keeps an eye on the stuffed puppy. There was a note in the box that says the manufacturer donated $1 for every stuffed dog they sell to that dog's breed rescue organization.

My neighbor across the street got a blue heeler/Aussie cross puppy that is just a bit older than Sadie. Sadie will be going in Monday for her hysterectomy. Hard on Mom, but for the best.

Liz came for coffee today and we watched The Dressmaker, an Australian film. Good movie. Had Kate Winslet in it.

Trish, Just a stuffed cuddly I guess, he is stuffed with memory foam, so he's kind of a square dog.
