    G'day all

Enjoy the hols Trish 'n JR - poor doggie's havin' a rough time!

Not much goin' on around here either Pos!

Had my flu shot last Thursday & you guessed it - it has freshened up my man cold again!
Went to visit my moonshine mate who is in hospital about an hour & a half from me yesterday.
He was in the middle of a colonoscopy prep, & was grumbling about drinking the last 2 glasses of "those time bombs" - so I kidded him into pretending they were Tullamore Dew (he managed to get them down then)
Soon after that - we left as he was about to spend the rest of his time - in the throne room! (Bin there, dun that!) Was having his procedure that evening.

Cool (read chilly) & clear as a bell here this weekend, not a cloud to be seen!

I won't bore you with the details, but I've picked up another geetar(Oz made) & have 2 more in the US in negotiation

    Drink & choon!

Morning one and all from a rather foggy/misty Welsh Wales - think it's beginning to clear but it's rather cool so the heating's on again!

Taking a load of stuff down to the charity shop later after deleting about 50 or so listings after a clearout. Doesn't seem to have made much more room though ...

Just enjoying my first mug of tea of the day

    Good Morning all,
it's rather cool here as well Annie, although it is sunny out there.
What a good idea getting rid of some stuff and having a bit of a clearout - I should do the same before every cupboard and draw bursts open!

Hope your man cold gets better soon Old, and also that your moonshine mate recovered well from his experience in the 'throne room' .... lol!!!
You will have to show us the pics of the new geetars.

Glad you have sorted out the little family spat Pos, your kids are lucky to have you as their dad. Hope the scanning and listing pays off!
Haven't listened to the choons yet, but will do a bit later.

I have been gathering up tons of the old foliage from the spring flowers, looks so unsightly now that everything has finished flowering.
The Muscari and Spanish Bluebells spread like wildfire if they are left to seed.

My daughter Debbie is coming to spend the day with us so I had better get a move on, haven't showered yet!

I need to put my holiday notice on, so that will be the next thing to do - relists will have to wait until I have some spare time.

Jolly good question Mael - short answer is "I don't know" - I gave up counting at #23 - it'd be too embarrassing to know the actual number now.
I'm nowhere near as ill as this guy (yet)

G'day all - Hope everyone is well & our holiday makers are catching plenty of sun!

We bit cool here of late & got down to single figures of a morning - but the days are perfect!

The new geetars caused a bit of interest at my steel club last Sunday & I took some pains to edumakate the members on their history.
My mate put a couple of them through their paces, & we were all surprised by the level of sustain these older makes have.
One guy said that you could hit a chord, then go to the bar for 10 minutes, & when you came back, it'd be still playing!

Bro & some of his REG (Royal Enfield Group) bike mates will be dropping in here Friday, during one of their social rides.
They usually stop over for a cuppa, after hitting the local bakers for pies & buns lunch! - It's a tough life, but somebodies got to do it

My old moonshine mate is going into a rehab hospital today, hopefully to get back into condition before going home? He's 82, so it could take awhile.

OK - a holiday drinkies & I'll kick off with a flamenco number for Trish.

    Hey all!

I started a post about a week or so ago and the electric went off for half a mili-second and I lost everything - DUH!

Trish - I hope by now that Reina is well healed. Thankfully she has long hair - for sure there will be an awful scar left Isla sounds precious - too bad you didn't get a picture of Wonderwoman! I hope you have a wonderful Holiday in "sunny Spain"!! Looking forward to pictures !!

Old - Glad to hear all the geetars arrived in one piece!! And now with possibly 3 more, I'm beginning to agree with Wyo - you need to find somethng smaller to collect or else build a museum to house them in It is so sad that Parkinson's robbed Linda of her singing career - she was great!! Brody is getting Soooo big and it looks like she really "gets into" daycare! I would NOT want to wake up to your birds - it would be "shotgun time" to scare them off!

Penni - I hope your daughter is doing well - has the baby arrived?

Books - I just noticed you have a new avatar - I sure wish men around here did handstands dressed like that

Pos - how awful you were flooded and glad to hear that you are "connected" again!!! Been there myself a few times living here between 2 creeks. The road finally got fixed and thanks to my friends coming over, all the debris is cleaned up and the yard is mowed. Still some weeds in the garden but I go out and pull a few at a time. Most dog owners that have problems with dogs, just need to find the right kind of dog. Working dogs like sheepdogs, heelers, labs & shepherds get really bored if they don't have a "job" to do and boredom leads to getting into trouble - just like it does with kids. He just needs to find a dog that likes to lay around and cuddle. I loved your bird songs! I cranked the volume to the max but didn't get any answers from outside - I figured every bird in the neighborhood would wonder where the "strangers" were coming form.. LOL!!!

Wyo - Ah hears ya, Mammy!! That shore don't mean I'ma gonna listen - lol! Spring here has been hot and stormy. Up to 90 and rain predicted every day - which doesn't mean it actually shows up - just predicted. We did get a little thunder thunder storm the other night - no lightning but the winds got up higher than prairie winds and knocked a tree over in the woods by the spring. Sorry to hear about the birth certificate mess, but my guess is it's a political thing. I haven't known what day of the week it is for about the past 20 years - unless I have an appointment, every day is pretty much the same routine so it doesn't matter what day it is I love your bright colored coasters!!

I listened to a few choons - usually if the name of the song is mentioned, it automatically pops into my head. Hmmm... must be getting senile - songs from years ago I can remember all the words to but I can't remember what I did yesterday!! LOL!! Having limited bandwidth stinks but as DSL is not available this far from town, I'm stuck with satellite. I could probably install a second phone line and go back to dial up, but at 24 kbps.....nawwwwww..... Not to mention that I've had the same e-mail addy since 2007 and changing that would be a real pain. I'm still getting my "music fix" from watching concerts on TV since I have plenty of time to watch TV now.

That shot I had lasted about a week and the headache came back. PT didn't help - the last 5 sessions were mostly for pain relief and teaching me how to massage the trigger points myself. Had an appointment with the Ortho clinic and they really PO'd me - drove all the way to Lawrenceburg just to hear something they could have told me on the phone. I need to be referred to a neurosurgeon and given their attitude (2 diferent clinics and 3 visits), I asked them who they would be referring me to. They gave me the names of 2 - one didn't even take my insurance and the other was connected to their facility and had horrible patient reviews. So, I researched myself last weekend and chose a doctor. Called them on Monday and gave them his name. They said they would call in the referral and let me know when the appointment would be. I told her she could call in the referral but to have them to contact me to set the appointment because she doesn't know what the schedule is for getting somebody to take me. I've not heard a word from either place and I'll be on the phone with the insurance Co. Monday morning getting them to light a fire under somebody's arse!!

I've been doing some work - just enough to get my strength and stamina up so I can recover quicker after the surgery. Thanks to my friends, the house is clean and I can actually get to the bed in the guest room now. Hubby tosses around all night and his snoring often wakes me up so I think I'll sleep in the guest room after I come home from the surgery - when ever that's going to be. .... Or maybe they'll do me like they did the last time - set an appointment, not inform me of it and then call and chew me out when I don't show up - true story!

Y'all take care - it's time to feed and then I think I'll take a nap.

    Shes

    G'day all

Shesa - think I missed something here - what surgery? that sounds scary! - Shame you didn't get a better/longer results with the injection.
One of my geetar deals fell through because the seller was antsy about shipping one of them that has a Brazilian Rosewood fret board, & he was worried that US customs would confiscate it. (He will sell it domestically)
So! - we decided not to risk it. The other one has cleared JFK INTL in NY & is probably on its way to Dubai ATM.

Hope the holiday makers are having a good time, & that puppy is on the mend well & truly by now?

Down to single figures again this week (around 8 -9C) but a lovely 25C during the day. No rain to speak of ATM.

Hope y'all enjoyed the wedding! - I managed to avoid it by not having TV on - "They" are still pushing it for all its worth down here, & I'm absolutely fed up with it all - it'll probably go on for weeks!

Finally found a way to put some of my playing up here (for better or worse?) Here is a sound cloud link of yours truly playing "Sleepwalk" back in 2006. Very early in my lap steel efforts!

You'll need a big nightcap drink after that!

This is a picture of Tillie, my first dog after I moved back to Wyoming. She was an Aussie/Blue (Queensland) Heeler Cross. More heeler than Aussie, but I thought Allen would like it especially.

We've had a lot of rain this month, if it doesn't hail we might have a good crop which probably means the price will plummet. Ah the life of a farmer.

G'day WYO - LOL that Book Club looks a hoot What a desperate nasty trick - putting viagra in ya beer! - then to get busted by the cops!!!
Tillie looked like a very spoiled & relaxed girl there, in her very own arm chair! Here's a little vid of our legend Blue Heeler Pub out west - not been there yet, but will one day.
They usually have a resident Heeler on the front verandah. (notice Bundy Bear in the background!)
