I've never heard of such a thing, but I don't think I'd buy something in non-original packaging that I couldn't see/smell in real life first, if it means what it sounds like.

Doesn't perfume lose (or change) it's aroma when it's exposed to air?

It would have to as all the volatiles would start doing their thing - but it probably matters how long they're exposed for, don't you think?

Don't know the answer to the question. I just wonder how you would know it was authentic if it didn't come in the bottle/packaging unopened?

The point of decanting - for most people - is to transfer a small amount of perfume from a larger container into a smaller one. This is most commonly done to create sample size, tester bottles and sprays. On a larger scale it was common for ladies to have their own (usually fancy) perfume bottle with stopper or mist sprayer attached. The perfume is not left exposed to the air.

Thanks for the info., didn't know this.

Guess I really do learn something new every day; just wish I didn't forget 99% of it by the next day.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

As I said, I wouldn't buy it. I'm not sure who would.
