Pan's Labyrinth, Pirates of the Caribbean 1, Blazing Saddles, The Tourist, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The only one I had ever seen before was Close Encounters ... once in a theatre back in 1977 or whenever it came out.

Pan's Labyrinth had a few scenes that were way to violent for me. Had to cover my eyes. But it was OK. All the others were OK. Liked seeing a young Richard Dreyfus in CE3K. Blazing Saddles was silly but I was in the mood for silly. Same with Pirates. Don't think I'll watch any more of the Pirates series. One was probably enough or I'll get sick of Captain Jack very quickly. The Tourist is Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a stinker and I think that it flopped at the box office. It was OK. We both enjoyed it. But I wouldn't say it was over the top great.

Last night we watched Duck Soup. Neither of us had seen it before. We only lasted about 15 minutes. Not our cup of tea. Off to the charity thrift store it goes.

Can't stand the Marx Brothers, prefer 3 stooges. Might have a look at The Tourists.

From the description, I thought it was not for me ... not a big sci-fi buff ... but was happily surprised ... liked the twists and turns. Visually a very appealing movie.
