Default Item no longer for sale. What should I do please?

Seller has a score of -1 feedback.

However, I really liked the look of one of their items so I put in a bid. I also asked a question about the item.

Today I recieve an answer saying sorry item isnt for sale anymore.

I advised them to remove all items that were no longer for sale and said to be careful as they could get more negs this way. Obviously, I did not intend to give them another neg.

However, I then read the help pages and it seems you cant retract a bid. The section that says what to do if item no longer for sale suggests negging them.

    What should I do please?

Your bid is irrelevant. The item is not available, you're not going to get it, you're not going to pay for it. However, the seller can remove it if you perceive it as an issue.

The only real issue is do you neg them for listing unavailable items. Personally I would - failing a very good explanation of what went wrong.

Personally I would just forget it and move on.

I don't ship to SA. My brother-in-law lives there and has told me never to send anything to him as it is unlikely ever to arrive.
