    Default Items made of Ivory

    Hi,
Time for me to get back into selling items here again.

Can I ask if items made of Ivory can be sold on ebid? (I've looked and cannot find anything) I know it is a bit of a touchy subject but a well known auctioneers (Dreweatts) do allow selling them as they did only yesterday. (16th Feb 22)

I have some quite rare Tip Staves to sell and ebay won't even allow these sorts of things, even truncheons are a no no, but they allow baseball bats etc - Stupid!

Your comments would be much appreciated.

    Cheers
    Mr LJ.

The auctioneers selling the ivory will have their own set of rules but they will be adhering to the law and guidelines but it is illegal to sell ivory after a certain date (1920?) or thereabouts and new laws are due to take effect in the next few weeks regarding the sale of ivory see https://www.antiquestradegazette.com/ for further information.
