Smile My eBid promotional graphics page is up and running

    Hi,

Just finished sorting out my page containing graphics for use in promoting eBid, your stores, listings, what ever you like. The emphasis on this page is vectors - you can scale them to any size you like and they will not lose any detail, there are also hi-res standard images suitable for resizing or printing.

    Here they are:
    http://www.jonathanmortimer.co.uk/ad...bid_media.html

    Main shameless ebid advertising page:
    http://www.jonathanmortimer.co.uk/adverts/

Excuse the adverts, they are for casual browsers and search engines

I don't know if I'll have time or inclination to produce more, hopefully people will find these useful. If you just want standard low-resolution graphics you can grab the preview images shown on the page, links are to hi-res versions for print and the original vector images.
My auctions: video games, photography stuff, miniature wargaming hobby bits and pieces
My eBid stores: Miniature Hobby Store | Old Games
My eBid adverts page (also home to my free eBid promotional graphics):

They are very nice and what I need - can you tell me how to 1) keep one in 'my documents ( or 'my pictures) and 2) how to get it smaller, and 3) hoe to get it onto a 'Word' document?

I have limited resources, knowlege, and patience!
(I have photoshop 'elements' but no instructions as such - having to learn as I go!)
Why not take a quick look at my Stores?

Very smart. To be honest, I think a lot of people might be intimidated by "vector" and "scalable" and wotnot - so they're a great resource for other graphical types and for supplying to print companies, but for every day punters they probably just want a supply of jpgs and gifs in a range of sizes. If you do get a bored half-hour one day, that might be a useful addition? Please don't take this as a request, I'm happy making my own stuff, but simply as a suggestion for what might make a useful resource.

Pardon me for being thick but...

What do you do with .svg files? None of my graphics editors recognise them and if I try and place then onto a page in my html editor then no image shows.

Did you see the one I put elsewhere, and was it any good? Sorry, I'm probably crossing threads but I'm doing three other things at the same time at the moment!

(I have photoshop 'elements' but no instructions as such - having to learn as I go!)
    1) Right click and choose to 'Save As...', a standard file browser should pop up, browse to the location you want to save it and click Save.

    2) There's no two ways about it - if you want it smaller you will have to learn how to resize it! This is best done using something like Photoshop Elements prior to loading into Word, but I don't have Photoshop Elements so can't give you precise instructions on how to resize it there. Hopefully someone else with that knowledge can chime in. I can direct you to a long-winded explanation at the Adobe website: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...ernalId=331327

    3) I believe you go to Insert and down the menu will be Picture, but again I don't have Word so this is just from memory.

    Oh - I dont think I did!

I just want a jpg or gif that I can keep in 'my pictures' and trot it over to Photobucket and/or use it as an insert in Word docs.

    I don't 'do' complicated!! LOL

It's on the other thread where you asked, but I'll drop it in here too.

#7 - I just use Photobucket for resizing - easiest option!
