Fun and games next door where the fire was as workmen are trying to remove the root stumps of the burnt Leylandi - and are having to use an axe. A lot of ripe language being used

Still warm but beginning to cloud over. Have a lot of stuff to photograph - hoping to do them outside.

I hope your brother is OK, Becky, and avoids surgery. Sounds as though he's going to have to slow down with his activities.

At least there has been some good news this morning. The cadet has heard he's got an interview at Tewkesbury hospital on the 16th so fingers crossed for that. They are also going to look at some flats to rent in Cheltenham tomorrow, so much cheaper there than in Bath !

Phew, I'm so relived. I've just had a chat to my brother on the phone and they have done all sorts of tests and scans and gone in through the groin to look at the blood vessels and there is no major damage. They have told him he is in the lucky 15% ! They are still keeping him in for another two days for observation as his sodium levels are still not right.

He said it quite frightened him yesterday when they started giving him fluids as he lost the ability to talk for about half an hour. He could think what he wanted to say but all sorts of gobbledygook was coming out of his mouth, he just couldn't get the right words out.

I said to him no more felling trees then, to which he replied "oh I will wait until the winter when it is cooler" ... I give up !

I have just been for a blood test to the hospital for my appointment on Monday, i got back home my face looks like it's scalded and it's swollen.
