I shall be disconnecting the PC shortly as the cables are needed for nephew to work on the other PC. TanteGrete will hopefully make an appearance in a day or two. Be good and I hope to have a few goodies for the next YDC, so start saving

Who managed to stay up last night to see in the New Year? Watched New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai and Moscow fireworks and then went to bed! Still feeling a bit feverish and shivery - just hope it's not flu.

Didn't stay up but was woken by a neighbour's fireworks (they had warned us) - then I couldn't get back to sleep so now I feel vile which is a great start to the year.

    Happy new year troops.
It was a bit of a strange night last night not the usual good time, O/H agrees, can't quite put my finger on why as the food was nice ? There were two extra people there this year so maybe that changed the dynamics a bit and it didn't help that the fireworks cake that O/H had spent a lot of money on from Morrison's didn't go off. It started with a few pops and then nothing happened and we felt it was too dangerous to go back to try and relight. So in all a bit of a damp squib ! We saw the London fireworks on the TV.
Never mind at least there is a bit of sunshine here today so that's a good start to the year.
