Wow - everyone seems busy, tho it sounds like some extra of the special sauce could go down well in the mess tonight.

Raining like bonkers here. Even had some hail. We managed to reinstall the big trellis holding a huge clematis that the winds blew off the W wall of the castle a few days ago. Trimmed a ton of vines off first, then reattached with many more attachments.

Good morning! Heating is working again, so it must be cold. Off to the canteen to make tea and coffee and check on special ingredient level. If the weather allows, I'll be doing laundry. I also need to finish a piece of jewellery. OH is planning to be out this afternoon, so that will give me time.(I hope) Have a good day

it was lovely & sunny when taking the dog out but its now very overcast, though the forcast said should be nice, but seems to have changed its mind.

Had a great lunchtime yesterday with my friend. We have another new landlord in the local (the last one only stayed two weeks !) and found out the new one comes from the Redruth / Camborne area in Cornwall ! So had a good chat about years gone by. Turns out he was working at one point years ago in the next tin mine along from where my brother worked !

It seems to have gone very quiet again at the moment. I wonder when the Christmas battles will start ?

I'm home! Don't like this travelling lark across time zones. Left Vancouver at 11am yesterday [Saturday] West Coast Time and arrived Manchester 7.30 this morning! And without any sleep as we had to change planes in Toronto with just an hour to spare.

Managed to unpack MY cases; his are still waiting to be done, but as he's worn out they can wait until tomorrow.

Discovered a new must have - dark chocolate covered blueberries and raspberries! AirTransat serve them up as a dessert with the inflight dinner. They're gawjuss

Managed to buy some packs to bring home and have already had to hide them before a certain someone gets his hands on them!

Think it's an early night tonight to help readjust back to UK time.
