Good morning! It is cold outside. Maybe winter is here after all. I have made tea and coffee in the canteen and there is some fresh bread too. I should go out this morning, but I could easily be persuaded not to. Mil wants her tea, so I better be a good girl and give it to her

You know buttons - you have a heart of gold, sitting in the cold and dark making sarnies for your OH.
I would have given mine a packet of crisps and an apple.
(He needs to lose weight anyway)
Hope you don't have to wait too long for the ambulance, and Mike goes on OK at the hospital.

Sarge, hope the tank behaves itself for the check up and there are no major problems.

Meebs, I'll partake of some of that fresh bread if I may, and I'll grab a cuppa whilst I'm in the canteen.

Hope everyone is keeping warm and dry, in good health and spirits

Evening - well it is in Thailand Quite an adventure getting here, finding the holiday house + losing suitcases along the way which should be here tomorrow.

Everyone's rather tired as you can imagine, it's also warm and humid due to monsoon rains - think an early night will be had by all after dinner.

    Speak soon.

I just noticed that I missed the morning report yesterday. so far I have been standing in the kitchen making soup. As Mil has problems swallowing, she has an almost liquid diet. Some time last year she didn't want to eat home made soup any more, so we bought. Recently she has been rebelling, but after insisting she could eat scrambled egg and it blocked her gullet for the rest of the day (even water was difficult for her to swallow) she accepts that soup is good. But only if produced by yours truly. so I have cooked loads of vegetables for parsnip soup, lentil soup and mixed veg soup. The last has some meat stock added because she thinks she needs that. I just need to puree the lot and then it can be frozen in portions. It'll be interesting to see how long this craze will last.
Buttons, I hope all will go well at the hospital and Mike will come home fit for work.
Sarge, we used to have a car that didn't like cold weather. When the temps dropped to around freezing, it was finding it very hard to start. (and we all know people like that)

I had no problem with starting it last winter Private Meebo so don't know why it's throwing a hissy fit now ?! The battery is quite new so that shouldn't be the problem. I haven't heard anything from the garage yet so still waiting for the verdict.

Private Meebo I'm sure your halo has more shine. If I were you I would buy some chilled soups from the supermarket and pretend that I made them !!!

Still deathly quiet on the battle front this month, I'm half expecting one of those letters about Google Shopping, like justthebook got, since the site changes !

Mike has to go back for a course of injections and when that's fixed will also need laser treatment as his lens capsule has also clouded over, I am shattered, just waiting for Ian the roofer to come and take some huge ladders we have as we don't need them any more and they are in the kitchen where we need to move a cupboard too so am letting Ian have them as he does help us out with things, i think i will just have a tin of soup for dinner, haven't got enough umph lefts to cook.
Oh and i managed to get one light to come on.
