Fake DVDs

Just got my purchase today of what I though would have been original, studio produced DVDs, but found them to be just burned DVDs with episodes that look like they were downloaded off the internet, plus they have encode details, as well as the TV channel logo(Toonami, CNX, Cartoon Network).

Cover images are different from the ones displayed in sale and are just regular prints from your usual household paper printer.

This is the first time this has happened to me on eBid, but I certainly hope it to be the last, I'll be taking extreme care not to be done again!

If you spot any suspicious auctions in the future, use the "Report This Auction" link from the left hand menu. You can do this on any auction you think either infringes the rules or where you believe the seller to be questionable. Admin will look into the matter and take any appropriate action.

I normally would do that, but it seemed legit, so I had no reason to be suspicious!

Of course not, I just bought 16 DVDs from Italy! I'm just bummed about this sale... here I was expecting to finally get the last DVDs to complete my collection and when they arrive, they're not even close to what was advertised, TV recorded, internet downloaded and DVD burned with cruddy label scans and badly done packaging!

I am extremely annoyed, seeing as I paid £20(minus P&P), they are just about worth £4 in material costs.

Well for a start, it would be a good idea to have an 'Report Copies/Replicas' option, or something like that, in the Destination drop-down box!

Something like that would be good, especially where suspected pirates are at work. This type of thing could go with a flag system to flag these as a Top priority, to be looked into and banned then reported to the proper authorities.
