    Lefties Unite!

Chainsaws, rulers, spiral-bound notepads, can openers… there are many objects that seem to exist just for the right-handed. Being a leftie, wrong-writer, or even a southpaw can be frustrating, it’s easy to feel that the world is made the wrong way round. However, there are so many cool and interesting things about being a leftie, and a million special and unique products available on eBid - just for you.

    Famous Lefties

There are a whole host of famous names known to be wrong-handers: Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Napoleon Bonaparte, Joan of Arc, Prince William, Fred Astaire, Charlie Chaplin, Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Judy Garland, Whoopie Goldberg, Jimi Hendrix, Sir Paul McCartney, even Bart Simpson, and according to the IMDB, the Storm Troopers . Quite the select club don’t you think?

It may surprise and comfort you to also know that Aristotle, one of the founding fathers of philosophy, was a leftie as well.

Strangely, given that just 12% of the world’s population are left-handed, and that throughout history, many leftie children faced crazy amounts of discipline in order to make them righties, an inordinate amount of presidents are, or were, left-handed. An astonishing five of the last seven leaders of the United States were southpaws, with Obama himself as the most current lefty president. It would seem then that the power of the left, goes someway to giving a guy the edge he needs to lead.

So with all this enviable history close at hand, why are mundane and every day tasks sometimes so difficult for the leftie?

    Weird Objects

There are a million supposedly helpful but actually dubious products available for the left-handed like left-handed mugs, smudge guards, and left-handed cutlery.

In all seriousness, we have a category at eBid that you can find right here on eBid. Have a look under our UK Whatever's Left! > left-handed things section or USA Whatever's Left! > left-handed things where you can list your left-handed items.
