Some Information About vinylsearcher
Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
I have been collecting vinyl on and off since my early teens.I guess I am a bit of a dinosaur as far as music is concerned. I am still in a time warp. As you will see by my listings I very rarely list anything that was cut after 1980. For me this was an end of a musical era. This was when music started to die and the electronic age gave birth to a new wave of artists and groups who without the new found electronic wizardry would have struggled to compete with the artists of the 50s, 60s and 70s. I only list Vinyl as CDs only represent what for me was another step towards an electronic sound that gave a false interpretation of the true recording. Perhaps this is why Vinyl is making a comeback.
The records I list are mostly from my own collection and wherever possible I try and give an accurate description of the record and sleeve. My assessment of the records condition is a visual one, as it would just take to long to listen to everything I list. I will always offer a refund if one is not happy with their record.
I am trying to list as many different music genres as I can, so I can give my customers the biggest choice possible. I am still an avid collector and I am still passionate about record collecting and my mission is to collect as many rareities as I can with the sole objective of preserving them for future generations to enjoy.
I enjoy a wide variety of music but my favourite genres would be Soul,Doo Wop,Motown,60sPop&Beat,R&B,Rocksteady,Rock & Roll, Reggae, Blue Beat and Ska. There is just not enough room here to mention all my favourite artists but here are just a few. Alton Ellis, Otis Redding, Sam Cook, Shirells, Ronettes, Wilson Picket, Prince Buster,The Beatles , The stones ,Etta James, The Platters, Little Richard, Aron Neville,Tim Yuro,Aretha Franklin,Junior Walker, King Curtis,Willie Mitchell,Temptations, 4 tops ,Smokey Robinson and many many more. I consider myself priviliged to have been able to be around when all thease artists were in their prime.
I have sold over 400 items on that other well know auction site and have a 100%feedback record for those who want to check on this just look up discsagogo on e bay 52533675c5
Thats enough from me for now and I offer no apoligises for my disposition of being a dinosaur, all I can hope for is that whoever browses in my shop will find something of interest and if they buy one of my records, I will know that I have had the pleasure of providing them with something that will give them a lot of satisfaction.
