Hello there and welcome (kroeso) to my wee store.

I sell online in high-end shops and websites and pre-Covid used to attend trade fairs around the globe.  I have a huge stock of "bargain basement" items which were great at fairs for inexpensive extras.  I also have a massive stock of highly valuable and collectable items never seen before on the internet.

I am retiring from trade fairs now so am starting to list some of my more valuable items online, all at bargain prices.

ABOUT THIS PENDANT
Constructed from solid 9ct gold rolled (375 parts per 1000) see below.
Fully assay marked outside UK and tested via x-ray extrapolation.
Dates to mid 20th Century (c1950s).
Lovely round shape.
Beautiful Art Deco style starburst engraving.
Opens from top to 2 compartments, one glassed.
Fastens with a shaped bail.
Good condition for age and ready to wear.

Width is 34.5mm.
Total drop is 46.5 mm.
Thickness is 8.3mm.
Weight is 15 grams to nearest.

You would expect to pay between £200 and £400 for a quality item like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain.

ROLLED GOLD: Over the decades I have bathed many many kilos of old gold items in acid to purify the gold content back to 24ct.  The older methods did not use thin plates of gold like today's plating but used solid gold in the construction.
Rolled Gold is a technique where solid plates of gold are mechanically fused onto a base metal.  Very high quality and will not wear if looked after.
Over many years my average yield of gold from rolled gold items is 4.2%
For a 9ct item such as this that equates to the outer 11.2% being made of gold.
