Some Information About Idealproductsales

Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
Brian's Wooden Creations are all handcrafted in the sleepy rural village of Roulette, PA on the western edge of Potter County, PA, right alongside the scenic U.S. Route 6 (Grand Army of the Republic Highway).  Most all of our woods are locally sourced (Typically Oak, Maple, Walnut, Ash, etc) Hardwoods from the northeastern USA region. From time to time we may also bring in "exotic" woods (Exotic to this region, at least).
Most of my creations will have a natural or clear finish  - Polyurethane or spar urethane for decoratives, or Tung Oil, Beeswax, Boiled Linseed oil, butcher block oil, or various other food-safe finishes for wooden items meant to be used in the kitchen or in contact with food.  Most of the latter finishes usually do need some regular maintenance to keep things looking good, and continuing to be serviceable.. However, maintenance finishes are generally easily available just about anywhere - Butcher Block Oil, Cutting Board Oil, Beeswax, and the like are typically readily available and not too expensive.
From time to time, some items may be painted or stained - usually for decorative effect, or because someone requested a special color, or just because! Those finishes will be detailed in the listing, usually.. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about our finishes or the woods we use.
Shipping Policy: - I will always strive to ship an item within 24 hours of cleared payment, and ALWAYS will have a tracking method (USPS, UPS or FedEx).. However due to Holidays or local weather events, or just being a weekend, that isn't always possible. I'll send you a message with an anticipated ship time if we won't be able to get it out the very next day.   The time a package may TAKE to get from us, to you, may vary significantly, but typically we would expect items sent to U.S. addresses to arrive there within 5 BUSINESS days. From time to time, things may take a little longer, so if you don't have your item within 5 days or so, let us know - the sooner we can put in a package trace request (which often "kicks loose" a stuck package) the sooner we may be able to resolve the issue. Some times it may be merely a mis-directed package (I once had a package that was sent to a buyer just downstate from us - about 4 hours away -  travel all the way to California, by way of Florida, then back through Kentucky, before it went back to New York and finally to Pennsylvania and got delivered 12 days late!)
Packaging: - I will typically be shipping items in NEW boxes (at least for the outside container) simply because "used" boxes and containers that have already been through a shipping system once, typically will have less durability (crushed fibers, creases, etc) but where I deem it needed or possible, the item may be packaged in a recycled inner container with recycled bubble wrap or "sealed air" bags, and in rare cases packing peanuts that are made from starch (They'll dissolve in water - they are not styrofoam)  Each item is always packaged with as much care as possible, and after 30-plus years of packing and shipping all kinds of products from vintage glass vases to heavy duty chainsaws, In the last 10 years I have had almost every packaged item arrive in the exact condition it was sent. (I'm counting the spark plugs I sent in a padded mailer that got caught and smashed to smithereens in USPS machinery, and the 3 quarts of oil sent by UPS that burst open when the package was forked by a forklift driver, among others.. so I say "ALMOST" :) )
Returns/ Refunds: I will accept returns for any reason, but return shipping will be on your dime, sorry - No "buy, try, return for free" here.  However, if there truly is an issue that is not simply "buyer's remorse" I will definitely work with you to resolve any issues- contact me and let me know what the issue is and what you'd like to have done about it... Most all return and refund requests are handled on a case by case basis.. so a polite, rational conversation will usually get problems resolved much faster (and better)  than letting fly with "it has to happen now, or I'm reporting you" type accusations.  Patience is a virtue :)
