1) What is the My eBid area for?
The My eBid area is the members only section of eBid where you can control all aspects of your eBid account from view current and closed auctions, to contact details of counterparties and posting of feedbacks.
My eBid Dashboard Probably the most important area within My eBid. The Dashboard houses all your trading activity. BIDS MADE, OFFERS MADE and BOUGHT on the buying side. Then for selling it has BIDS RECEIVED, OFFERS RECEIVED and SOLD. It has 2 other parts for FEEDBACK and then Q&A (Questions & Answers) to keep you up to date with any duties that may need carrying out.
My eBid Trading A section that allows you to see all the listings you are currently bidding on, selling or watching.
Other available options are :
My Gallery View, upload or delete your images.
My All About Me Add a photo of yourself or your business and also details about yourself..
My eBid Stores Create and configure your own eBid Store. SELLER+ account type holders.
My Buddy Points eBid's own Loyalty Card scheme. Earn points by referring your friends.
My WatchList See the auctions you are tracking in the My WatchList section.
My Bulk Edit Make changes to multiple listings.
My Notifications You can now choose which emails you wish to receive.
My Subscriptions Review & update your registered credit cards and subscriptions.
My Feedback Post, monitor, request and edit feedback on counterparties you have had an auction involvement with.
My Fees View your statement and invoices.
My Bulk Upload Add hundreds of auctions at once.
My Defaults Set your favourite settings for your listings.
My Favourites Keep track of your best sellers, stores and searches.
My Personal Details edit or change your address, email and password.
2) How do I get into My eBid ?
Throughout eBid there is a button located at the top of the screen that says My eBid, click on this at any time and enter your username and password. If both are correct, then you will be given access to your details. Once you click on the my eBid button this will take you into the My eBid Dashboard page. A number of tabs below this header will allow you to see quickly your current bidding and selling activity.
3) What is the Buying area for?
The Buying section allows you to view items that you have bought or are bidding on and items that you have been unsuccessful on when bidding. You are able to see a complete history of all bids you have placed and the final outcome. If you have been successful you are able to see the contact details of the seller. Buying area contains:
- Items I'm Bidding On
- Items I Bid On
4) What is the Selling area for?
The Selling section allows you to see items that you have for auction and previous items you had listed with full auction result information including the contact details of the counterparties. You also have the option from within this section to offer your item to underbidders. Selling area contains:
- Listings I'm Running
- Listings I Ran
5) What is the Watching area for?
The Watching section allows you to view and monitor listings that you do not have an involvement in. Watching area contains:
- Listings I'm Watching
- Listings I Watched
6) What is the My eBid Store area for?
The My eBid Store allows you to have your own look and feel auction page. You can change the look and feel to suit your needs. This page is unique to your username and is a great feature to link banners and URL links promoting your auction page within eBid.
7) What is the My Buddy Points area for?
The My Buddy Points section allows you to keep track of Buddy Points earned. Buddy Points can be used to bid on eBid Buddy Point listings that are listed on the Homepage. You can earn Buddy Points for:
- Referring a Friend
- Gaining Positive Feedback
- Reserve price met bids
- Using BuyNow
- Buddies Upgrading to SELLER
- Buddies Upgrading to SELLER+
8) What is the My Personal Details area for?
My Personal Details section allows you to change your login password, address and phone number if these happen to change. If you change your email address, you will receive a new password for security reasons via email. You can of course delete this password and replace it with your earlier one in the "My details" area. Please help us to keep our information up to date.
9) What is the My Feedback area for?
The My Feedback section allows you to see what other members have been saying about you. You are given a point if you receive a positive feedback from someone, but a point is taken off your total if you receive a negative feedback. Your current score can be seen next to your name when you are a bidder or seller on an auction. It gives other members an insight into your reliability and the trust that other members can expect from you if they decide to deal with you.
10) What is the My Fees area for?
The My eBid Fees section allows you to see the current state of your account with us. All accounts start at a zero balance.
eBid is a Zero listing fee auction site.
We do not have any listing fees and sales fees are between 0% and 3%. You do have the option to pay for an high profile listing such as a featured category or a frontpage listing but this is not necessary.
Any charges that you accrue through the selling of items will then be deducted from this amount. It will be up to you to follow the correct procedures to ensure you credit your account on time to settle any balance due. See the Fees and Charges FAQ page for more details on making payments.
11) What is the My Bulk Edit area for?
The My Bulk Edit section allows you to find specific auctions, add them to a listings bucket and make wholesale changes to the listings. This will save a great deal of time if you want to make the same change to multiple listings without having to edit them individually.
You will also have the option to close or delete all auctions added to your edit bucket using the buttons at foot of the page.
12) What is the My Bulk Upload area for?
This is where you can upload as many auctions as you want using our multiupload spreadsheet capabilities. The spreadsheet is provided in Microsoft Excel format. Once you have completed your spreadsheet, simply email the form to us using the details below and your auctions will be started.
13) What is the My Gallery area for?
The My Gallery section allows you to upload and store images for you to use when appropriate for a relevant auction listing. Here you can View, upload or delete your images.
14) What is the My Blackball area for?
If you have had a bad experience with a member in the past and you do not wish them to bid on your auctions you can enter their name into your 'myBlackball' section. This has the effect of stopping the member from being able to bid on your auctions. Hence, the user is 'blackballed'
15) What is the My Defaults area for?
Here you can save your favourite settings for your auctions and each time you start an auction these will be already in the boxes. Add your default invoice here as well, this will be added to any successful emails we send to your buyers
16) What is the My Notifications area for?
The My Notifications section allows you to choose which emails you want to receive from eBid and those you don't. A ticked box means you will receive the adjacent emails.
17) What is the My All About Me area for?
This is where you can upload your photo and information about yourself, your business or anything that is relevant to your activity at eBid. These details will be shown on your "All About Me" page, buyers frequently view these pages to learn and to gain trust about the sellers they are buying from.
18) What is the My Favourites area for?
This is where you can save searches, categories, sellers and eBid Stores to your favourites.
19) What is the My Notices area for?
This section allows you to post a notice to all your auctions. You are able to notify bidders of impending absences or other information in relation to your current auctions. HTML is not permitted in My Notices.
20) What is the My Subscription area for?
If you wish to list an item for auction you will need to enter your debit or credit card details via our secure servers and upgrade to either a free SELLER security subscription or SELLER+ security subscription.
