Listing Problems?

I'm trying to list some more books.

(OK - I've not actually listed anything since before Christmas)

I usually list using prefilled information - and add to the database where necessary.

Today everything seems to be conspiring against me - I've lost some of my standard T & C type info, and when I try to use the'populate' dropdown on the listing form, EVERYTHING reverts to the item on that list - INCLUDING the stock description.

What am I doing wrong? (feeling old and confused) - when I was listing loads before, the T & C bit appeared automatically, but now I'm only getting half of it.

Do I do it through 'my defaults'?

I can't help with the database stuff, because I never use it. But as far as "populate" is concerned... you must do that *first* before changing any contents, since it just over-writes whatever's there, in my experience. I'm not sure if that addresses your problem or not?

Hmmm - Thanks Kimbo - Have been messing about with it to no avail!

Will now clear my cache and go and mess about with 'my defaults'! LOL

There are two 'Populate' buttons on the selling form. One populates from your defaults and the other populates from a selected previous listing. Are you using the correct one for what you need?

If what is being filled in is not what you are expecting then check your default settings. You may have inadvertently altered them or they could have mysteriously got corrupted.
