Default I've just came from Ebay!!!

One major problem I have on Ebay is the high competition and the high fees. As there are few sellers on Ebid I have been able to put in a unique product (see my GBA Movie Player) and it is at a good price. On Ebay there are about 15 people who sell this product and the prices are so low that almost no profit is made. I have kept my prices the same so I should make a decent profit due to the low fees of Ebid.

However Ebid NEEDS some price competition. Everything is sooo expensive to buy. Take USB pen drives - £20+ for a 512MB pen drive - mines half that. Ebid sellers need to lower their prices to attract more buyers.

I'm going to try Ebid out for a few months (see if I sell anything) I hope to sell more on here but I'll see. I'm also looking for more auction sites like this to expand onto. At the moment I have only added 2 products - I will have more in a few days time

I'm going to keep listing on Ebay but only because things sell quickly and its easy to use. I'm still slightly nervous about the selling potential about Ebid but I'm hoping for the best.

Hello playgamez, good luck I hope you can drive your sales forward here, I think a few sellers here also list on the other site and I know that eBid is a great place to list a full selection of stock that can be ready should any customers of theirs hear that they have more great items at a competitive price here...The potential is great and financial risk tiny,I for one am positive about eBid.

I'm with you Blox, I think there's lots of potential. My Ebid listings hit 500 today which is more than I have on Ebay for the first time. I did have 1500 listings there, before they made the changes to the shops, and it would have risen to 3000 this autumn. All those listings, (which range from vintage tin toys to prints) will be comming here now!

hello and you have made a good move, things do sell on Ebid and fees are a lot lower, its great!!

I have listed over 2k of items on Ebid and Ebay droped from over 1k to 28 and my shop has closed for good. I have found Ebid is busy and I have more bidders on Ebid than ebay, I did have more items listed on ebay but items end without bidders now (this is very strange!) and it costs to list!!so I moved these on to Ebid and items sell on here :>)

just going to have a look at your items, maybe place a bid :>)

Not being funny, but probably a bad start to your own promotion on here is to virtually tell people they can get your item cheaper on ebay with other sellers:S

    Welcome to ebid, OP.

I think "high competition" isn't just about price - it's about hundreds of listings of the same item which confuses a buyer (puts me off anyway), many of whom may not be in UK or even have the item for sale.

However, I have to report a second ebay customer who has come over here and bought from me where I list more and sell more cheaply. Let's hope we can lure over many more!

hello playgamez and welcome to ebid.
i left ebay as well, and i have had some sales. not as many as i did with ebay but at least i am happier here than i was with ebay, and my nerves are a lot less shot to hell.
believe me if you have a good item to sell then someone somewhere is liable to buy it.
    regards
    sandra
