But can eBay keep its members, answer NO!!! they are leaving so the actual registered members there is no indication of activity, lots of people listing paying fees but not selling from what I hear, The rest are buying and getting scammed, not a nice place to be.

I never know where I am from one minute to the next...but I think I am here now...

Why would anyone want a different ID to post messages, I am the same ID on every forum, group, anywhere at all..
I have nothing to hide, ( apart from the fact that everyone thinks I am a short, fat frumpy granny, when really I am a young, slender, sexy lady with an insatiable sexual appetite....lol...I wish)

and I am so uninteresting anyway, no-one cares whether its me or not....lol

I come and go ........ regularly

Before the £5 suggestion snowballs (and I have no objection to it in principle) has anyone considered what the cost of a tv advert actually is ?

Years ago I read somewhere that a 30second ad cost in the region of £20k........

Now ...... how many members are there again ?

I think its about 35k now for an add placed between a program that no-one watches, I reckon you would be looking at 500k plus for one say after corrie. Then you would need more money for all the ebid staff that would be needed to cope with the surge about 30 seconds later. Then more money for another new server when it blows up... Sorry I am joking about that bit ( I think )

You know i keep seeing people mention cost of tv adverts etc, But im not bothered about ebid doing a tv ad, i know they cannot afford that. What i concered about is that there is no promotion of ebid outside "us" the users and apparently google adwords.

Cost , Cost, Cost is all i hear when it comes to promotion of ebid. Frankly i think its a poor mans excuse. It wont cost "thousands" to run a couple of ads for a couple of weeks in a couple of magazines or local newspapers....

When fleabay really peed off the shop sellers with fee rsies, ebid should have been knockin on the medias doors asking why ebid can be free when ebay is charging what it does.....

    Another thing

I sit and think how did i first come across ebay? it was by word of mouth through "daft" auctions. Baby for sale, organs for sale, nuclear submarine for sale.......The newspapers, web forums, blogs etc all pick up on these stupid auctions. all of it is free advertising and its what gave ebay its marketing edge, there is none of that here........
