Logo in forum posts ?

I've noticed most of you have your logo within your forum posts, how do I do this please ?
I've been looking but can't find anything that tells me how to do it, something to do with attachments I should think ?

Go to the top of page and click on "settings"
Scroll down the left hand side of the page and click on "edit signature"

I did that, uploaded the logo and then had a choice, to save, insert or edit - what do I do next ? and do I have to do this each time I write a post in the forum, or will it appear automatically ?
