    Default Listings Not Showing

Had a few problems as a newbie but slowly working through them.

However latest problem is worrying. I listed four additional items this morning but although they initially appeared on my Listings page they have now dissapeared. The emails acknowledging their listing have been received. Numbers 150343293, 150343390, 150343329 and 150343323.
Can you help before I list more items.

    Thank You
    Ray

Thanks sheffield Tony. I only show 14 so perhaps it is something to do with my cache on the laptop. I am nearly an 80yr old computer whizzkid Ha Ha but will struggle through the problem I hope

SheffieldTony just received email from Ebid. It appears they removed 4 of the listings on the basis that they are duplicates. They say if they are not duplicates then I must use a different title for each one !! This in practice seems difficult because I am calling them what they are. In this case Lace Evening Tops. I guess a must put a bit more detail in order to change the title each time. Have you or any other forum user any comments please.

There must be some difference between the items (size, colour, etc.) otherwise they are duplicates and should be in a multi-item listing. Show that difference in the title, e.g. Lace Top (Small), Lace Top (Medium) or Lace Top Style 1, Lace Top Style 2.....

Note that massaging titles to circumvent eBid's duplicate listings rule will get your items removed.

Thanks Astral276. Yes that is what I was afraid of. They are all different (but very similar items). I might run out of descriptions !!
I wonder what somebody with a "store" does as I am just a private seller trying to dispose of my late wife,s numerous clothes (probably a shopful). In order to aid a local cancer charity.

I don't know exactly what the tops look like, but I do know when I search for clothing, I often look for a specific color. So you might say GREY LACE TOP, SMALL. BLUE LACE TOP, SMALL, DARK BLUE LACE TOP WITH SLEEVES, SMALL, and SCOOP NECK BLACK LACE TOP BACK BUTTONS. Etc. Add size, if they button, or pull on, color, all lace, lace accents, lined, unlined (only lace), zip, dark blue, navy blue, pink, cream, white, nylon, cotton, linen with lace, etc....
    Ta-Ta for now!

You seem to be getting the hang of it. You won't run out of titles as what makes the item different to another you have listed is what goes into the title to make it different. If you really get 'stuck for words' you can even just add a number (001, 002...) to the title; as long as that is not done simply to circumvent the listing rules.

Also, as Her Maj points out, a fully descriptive title with good keywords aids to bring in buyers searching.

Thanks both. Yes I have started re-listing and taken note of what you both said.

Good Luck with your own transactions
