    Default drop & drag?

I need to fill out some information on one site and they ask that I drop & drag from another site, can someone explain how I do this, please?

    I'm using windows 10/Edge.

have both windows open - highlight what you want to move - locate mouse over it - as you move to the other window, it will come with you - let go of the mouse button over the destination window

Thank you Madelaine, I knew that was the way it sounded but my trouble is how to have both windows where I can work with them, I'm sure there is a way to cascade them but I haven't found it.

Try opening your browser twice (or 2 different browsers) have 1 site in each browser, use the cascade button at the top right corner, resize each window then drag from one window to the other.

Thank you Sherlock, I've tried this but it didn't take in the box I was to drop it in. This OLD brain must be missing something!

I know they said drag and drop, but have you tried copy and paste as an alternative way then? might be worth a try

Make each window smaller than the screen and drag them about until bits of both show

Under Windows you should also be able to open the source and destination in two tabs, select the content from the source, drag to the destination tab (destination tab will open), and then continue dragging to the destination area and drop.

I knew I could count on you all for good answers.

Thank you all for taking the time to share with me.

I tried all of these things but the icon would show I did it and when I tried to go to the next screen it would say I had failed to fill in that area. I finally gave up and made a phone call and was told there had been lots of problems with that area of the site so they would snail mail me forms so I could print out and attach the info and mail it back to them.

    So much for modern technology!
