Well trish he bought an overflow and plug hole combined thing for the kitchen sink for a sink with an overflow plate on the inside of it, our hasn't its just a hole, now any other person would realise you can't screw a screw into a ruddy great gap......oh I need a drink and a valium. His son has just rang him so now sat chatting in the kitchen, thats put a smile on his face anyway

Well buttons, as one poor sufferer of OH's DIY disasters to another - I have to say that at least your Mike tries.
Now mine doesn't - he hates anything at all to do with DIY - he deliberately makes a mess of anything that I ask/beg him to do.
Do you remember me saying I asked him to paint the skirting boards in the hall and he white gloss painted a good half inch all over the hall carpet which had to be removed and replaced?
As for visiting a DIY store, he would rather eat corks - he's only interested in food stores and would happily food shop anyday - and most of what he brings back ends up in his stomach.
