Now that's encouraging!

If only they would - it would be a great step in the right direction to get eBid noticed.
Sadly - 'advert' is a six letter word which seems to be avoided so I guess it's a case of
Gill (pronounced Jill) "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful" William Morris 1834 - 1896
Well, there are many Stamp and Postcard collectors and sellers that do not know of eBid... when I praise eBid up, I get the response " oh! do you have shares in eBid, then?"
Bringing more collectors to eBid means they will more than likely look at other items they may wish to buy: "what else do they sell on here... oh, look, a new mobile phone - oh my that's reasonable... "
Look in any stamp or postcard magazine and it full of adverts - the only real way to be noticed.
Postcard (and other) sellers go to Delcampe and not eBid in preference to ebay - why? - because they made them selves known in the Collectables community, got involved, sponspored events - they put their name out there...
C'mon eBid get in the real world, become a proper player!
Probably easier said than done. There are many subject sold on eBid and each seller in the various subjects would like advertising paid for by eBid. Multiply that by the countries where eBid has a major presence and very soon even a large advertising budget would run dry.
I overcome this by placing my own advert, at my own expense, in the Railway Antiques Gazette adverting my eBid store and eBid. Why don't the postcards sellers on eBid place their own adverts in specialist magazines? Surely that would be much more effective and better focused.
Having looked at the prices for advertising in Picture Postcard Magazine, they are outside my budget as a postcard seller but look pretty reasonable for an organisation of any size at all.
As for the "I don't sell postcards so it wouldn't help me" cry, while I'd love some advertising in coin, stamp or postcard press, I wouldn't moan if eBid advertised in some other specialist press. All advertising raises awareness.

Cost a little over £2 per week to place a box ad - good VFM in my opinion: brings traffic to my store(s) as well as eBid - win, win...
