I use Firefox browser and on my browser screens there is no "box" or boundary around where you need to type (except this message dialogue for the body text area, it has a pale grey boundary), thus i can not see where I am supposed to put my user name or password when trying to log on.

It is also the same difficulty to see where I am supposed to enter new post title on this page... its just a white space on a white background... anyone's guess really!

I am using Firefox 43.0.1 with Windows 10.

I use Firefox too and logging in is quite clear to me (see below) so I'm not sure what you are seeing. Can you post a screen shot?





The title area for new threads is pale I agree but again I don't struggle with it:

I use firefox running linx-mint 17.3 & had no issue seeing where to enter text.

O.P. I tend to agree with you. I am used to where the boxes on the new site are now but straight after the revamp I found myself clicking around trying to locate them ! Before with the old green and purple site all the boxes were clearly defined with a contrasting colour. I think it is something that could be improved. I am on Google Chrome and on Cheaver's screen shot I can barely see the boxes to type in, it is slightly off - white against white, with a very, very, faint outline if you peer hard enough !

Maybe a monitor problem, I was having the same trouble.

I treated myself to a new HDMI Samsung monitor for my birthday, it was like the mist of greyness had been lifted, the site now has crystal clear definition

You could be right Poscar, my monitor is old !
The fact remains however that there must be thousands of newbies out there with old monitors like me that are having problems locating the boxes. I didn't have this problem with the old site, all that needs to be done is put a stronger outline around them and the problem is solved.
