    Default Good Grief...

Bought a couple of birthday cards yesterday - the type that comes in an plastic wrap with their envelope.

On opening discovered the envelopes were dark grey, heading towards black.

What are you supposed to write on them with so that the Post Office can read the address. Maybe a tile grout reviver pen?

Yes, the colour of the envelopes is different, maybe arty-farty in some eyes, but totally impractical. Whoever designed them deserves a smack round the head.

    Grouch over.

Glitter pens, silver ink pens, gold ink pens, white-out correction fluid pens ....
or just use a sticky label and an ordinary pen.

There's only a problem if you choose to see one.

Turn the envelopes inside out? or is it the same colour on both sides?

Neither very 'pretty' for a birthday card. I was planning to drop them in the postbox tonight so they would go with the first collection tomorrow. Now I have to go into town early tomorrow and find something that will show up or get some sticky labels. Unnecessary faffing about whatever the eventual solution.

If I had some spare envelopes I suppose I could have saved these to use with 'Sorry for your loss' cards when somebody dies.

LOL, yep, that sounds about right. This reminds me of some years ago when my brother worked at a jewelry store and they switched from white boxes for their pieces to black ones. I said to him, what's with the funeral stuff?

Best wishes for many sales to all,
