    Default Swiss Precision Drumming

The Swiss are famous for precision clocks and watches, but they also have precision drumming.
This is an incredible display of drumming with a few innovations...

Reminds me of (way back) in my youth when I went to a club and most of the booked group had got stuck in the snow. The members who had made it were the lead singer and the drummer. The singer didn't do anything but the drummer came on and played. What he did with that drum set was amazing and he had the whole place spellbound. Had never heard anyone play solo drums like that before and have never heard the like since. It was actually a bit of a disappointment when the rest of the group struggled in. Sadly, I don't know who he was so I don't know what happened to him in his musical career.

Excellent show,I love the sound of drums.

In my early teens,my brother, uncle & myself decided to form a group. My brother was the drummer,my uncle on bass & myself on lead guitar.Other things took over our lives (girls!) so we didn't follow it up.
The drums were set up in our bedroom so I often had a play around.Over the years I've had various sets, selling them when short of money. My claim to fame is that I did a solo on the Tornados drums during their break at our working men's club.

There are many excellent drummers about.Do a google or you tube search for;Cozy Powell,Keith Moon,Phil Collins etc.You could also take a look at Ricky Allen, the one armed Def Leppard drummer! My personal favourite is Ginger Baker from Cream.

If the show is still touring & comes to your area,I can highly recommend,Stomp!

I went to see Stomp several years ago and they were absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed the show, where they get their energy from I shall never know ?!

I'm aware of that but he was the best I have ever heard. Keeping a club full of teenagers, who had paid to hear a group, quiet in awe maybe indicates how impressive he was.

Considering this was only a jobbing band he must have gone on to better things.

That is quite a feat, the guy must have been mucho talented. My all time favorite drummers are Buddy Rich and Chick Webb, Chick was a little guy, but boy could he wail on the drums.

Thanks, Graham, will definitely be passing this link along to some drummer friends.

Best wishes for many sales to all,
