YDC Charity Auctions
Emm, you really have done a super -duper job, calmly and professionally.
I totally freaked out and went brain-dead when I had to do the tallying up (hence my reluctance to 'win' YDC again) !!!
Hats off to you, and congrats to all YDC'ers for raising such brilliant amounts of cash for all those needy charities.
A round of applause for everyone!
PS: It troubles me that when people use the eBid YDC charity auction platform to raise funds for their charity and then cannot be bothered to post a total and receipt for monies collected. Maybe the rules should be amended to add this stipulation - just a thought .....
I don't always post a receipt from LTG as I don't always get one. Every 6 months or so I get a thank you letter from them with the total raised since the last letter, (which i then photograph and post). If the rules said you must post a receipt I wouldn't be able to list

Please have a look. I combine postage wherever possible.
I totally get where you are coming from. Penni. The major charities tend to have Just Giving pages or similar so I tend to post a link the the page but with the best will in the world we can't expect everyone to come up with a receipt that everyone will be happy with,
Emm, just sent you another £20 to add to the total as the Old Soldier (my 92 year old dad) heard who you were collecting for and wanted to give a donation. Lol, I think he's been watching a lot of the animal rescue programmes on the TV lately and he's an old softie !

No Penni, I didn't ask for the rules to state that you must post a written/email receipt.
I meant that if anyone uses the YDC auctions to raise cash for their charity, it would be pertinent if they joined in the tally thread and posted a total receipt of monies collected for whoever is doing the tally, and also for YDC stats.
