Whilst this may not be applicable to your two quick sales, I used to puzzle over items selling quickly to eBid members who hadn't used the site for years. Logically they wouldn't just come on site every day/week to look for something that hadn't been listed here for years. Took a while to realize that they had saved searches set up whereby they got an eBid e-mail notification if the saved search picked up keywords used in a title.

The saved search idea is interesting. It makes more sense of sales of newly listed items.
