This post might be useless to our friends overseas, but I am posting this info in hopes that some might find it useful.

This is a USA based organization that I received a free membership from 4 or 5 years ago. No surprises and simple.
After I joined they sent me a free plastic ABN card in a couple weeks. I can give businesses the number by phone, or let them swipe it at the checkout. I then just pay cash or credit as normal and my receipt shows my savings. Card works for many companies/products from the names they will send you.

I like it. ABN also sends me new or offers by email monthly- again, no strings attached. I save these specials in a email folder till travel time, etc, and then use the discount codes as needed when placing phone orders or when such offers would save me $$$ .

Again, this card/ program/membership has never cost me a penny. However, it does save me $$$ on office supplies, printers, computers, etc at O... Depot stores, etc. Many businesses offer discounts to ABN members- see their website if interested.

Disclaimer note: I have a UPS (United Parcel Service) account already. However, I usually send most of my packages USPS regular mail- so I have not used it for parcel. My sales are small and light mostly. Thus, I can't be helpful with those UPS specific questions.

I send things USPS because it is handier than making a trip into town to use UPS so I haven't checked the prices to see which would be the cheapest. I sent out a 24# box, media mail this morning and it cost $16.48 and I didn't think that was too bad.

Do you just use this for shipping when you are purchasing or do you use it to do outbound shipping also?
