Not much sign of the dreaded Health & Safety there...

No steel capped boots, hard hats, and reflective vests. Just wellies, a cloth cap, and a donkey jacket. Ay! Them were the days.

That was absolutely fascinating. My heart was in my mouth! LOL. I felt quite queasy, as I suffer from vertigo!

1960 doesn't seem that long ago does it?

I had just got married at the end of 1960 and seeing the lady's clothing in one of the shots really took me back. Nipped in waists and full skirts all ready to do the twist with Chubby Checker. I can remember the first dance I went to when it came over here.

Then later going all hippie in baggy shirts and skinny trousers with long beads and bare feet. Now the skinny jeans and baggy tops are all back in. It all comes round again, except the freedom we felt and the fun we had.

Oh, the memories, they really were the days. Wish I could live it all over again.

Thank you for sharing that with us Blue.

I found the 'Look at Life - The Village Sleeps Again 1962' one interesting. The moving of the Tudor house in Exeter particularly.Does that still happen or,like Northampton council, does yours just demolish regardless?
