Very, very strong gusty winds are on their way now.

It was so dark during the storm that the local street lights came on!

I hope this isn't right but my MIL used to say "thunder in Jan means a full cemetary"

One year when we had thunder in Jan we attended 12 funerals before the end of March, so I take notice when this happens.

Just got in from work and several neighbors have lost chimney pots, TV aerials and roof tiles, apparently we had a mini tornado. I work only a mile away and we only had hailstones and rain!!
