I cant deny, I dont really know how it works and what I have done on there half the time but I did take Deano's tip and randomly followed a few that had toys. There was one that Ron the Manager was following and I put a comment on one of her pins telling her to guard it!
I pinned something on my board the other day that I just liked (dont ask me how I saw it cos thats a puzzle to me) but within a few minutes I had a notice that someone had pinned it to her board. As far as I could see she must have only just registered on there and only had that pin and one other and doesn't seem to have anything to do with eBid and that the bit I dont understand, how did she get to pin it from my board? (I think)
I don't really understand it either.
I don't know how you can have more people following than followers.
Isn't a person following a follower?
It is very interesting though, to trawl through and look at other people's pins/
You can get more followers than followers
How it works is -
A pinterest user will click to follow another pinterest, it depends if that person will then follow back,
You could follow 100 but maybe only 50 will follow back, so you are following 100 but only have 50 followers
I have quite a lot of private boards with items that are not mine i just like them its a virtual collection (i have purchased a few items although several items mostly clothing from America have not been available to the UK. The owners of some of these pins also pin my ebid items and their followers will also pin that item so the end result is my items popping up all over the place. it gets to that stage where someone somewhere looking to buy an item has a good chance of seeing one of your pins because lots of different pinners have pinned it on their private boards. eg the new ebid member from America who saw one of my crochet doll patterns.
Now you know how the porn pinners do it! lol

I do get confused with who I am following and who is following me, I dont think the wording on that is good but I still dont know how that lady pinned something on her new board two minutes after I had pinned it on to mine - how did she find me when she doesn't know me?
Your pin must have came up in a search she did, she then liked the pin so much she repinned it to her boards, now her followers will see your pin. this is how a few pins from eBid or your own items can go viral and end up being seen by thousands of people.

I look at my followers boards to see who are following me. I then look to see who they are following & who is following them.
If I see pins on other boards that are from another ebid seller I repin their items also. It works like a circle.
If you go to your boards click on followers, then click on that persons followers you will get the drift.
Whats your pinterest name?
I have just started following you and Ron the Manager has just started following me!!!
I've added "follow someone extra on Pinterest" to my daily e-chores and I can report that repinning of my pins has gone from one or two a week to one or two a day in just one week.
