I've been getting that 504 Gateway time out message all evening too.

Yes the message means one of the servers is playing up.

I don't think so Dean, they surely appreciate all your efforts and good work that you do in helping both newbie sellers and buyers alike .....
not to mention some of us old 'uns too!
You do a magnificent job, and are invaluable with your helpful and knowledgeable advice, as is Astral and several other helpful eBidders.
Your patience is remarkable - same old questions, always great advice given.
I, for one, have learned so much, from just following and reading your posts.

I have reported the server problems to support if they are not already aware by now.

Patience is quite an easy virtue to appear to possess when all you are seeing is the result of my typing - because my vocal comments can't be heard and facial expressions can't be seen whilst I am typing! What I really need is an eBid teddy bear to sit on my desk that I can occasionally take a swing at when at my most incredulous.

Seriously though, any advice I am able to suggest to people is nothing compared to those who are the backbone of the forum and keep everything going along smoothly. I also learn a lot reading other posts.
